What a little gem this was - without realising what a busy weekend it was for sporting and concert events, we had left it a little late to book anywhere and was recommended this place by tourist board.
On arrival the staff were very friendly and more than welcoming.
It is basically a pub serving food with rooms above, we were shown to our rooms and they apologised that the rooms were in the process of being decorated, so standard of decor was a bit poor. But the beds and bathrooms were spotless, there was plenty of tea/coffee and biscuits in the room. The dresser even had a hairdryer in. The place was situated just off deansway, the main access route for Shopping and the MEN Arena so ideal for us ladies who were up for a concert and shopping.
The food at the hotel was superb and everything served with a smile.
Plus for all you Corrie fans out there apparently this is the stars local haunt after a hard days filming. All in all a fab place for a great weekend - we shall definitely be going back
