This was a large hotel, with history dating back to the 11th century. It was in a central location, yet quiet enough to sleep. It had a smallish free car park, at the back of the building. The rooms were a decent size. The furniture was a little dated, although in character with the place. Clean towels were provided daily, as were coffee & tea trays. As we booked room only, we didn't eat there, but the food we saw looked nice. We booked on line and the hotel was described as "complete with squeaky floors". This was the case, but didn't detract from our stay.
