Excellent family resort on the Isle of Wight. It's less than a mile from the ferry port at Yarmouth (so no long drive once you have reached the island). Very high standard of accommodation - we stayed in a three bedroom "Whitfield" cottage, overlooking a lovely green lawn but close to shop and reception but only 100m from the swimming pool and sports complex. Swimming pool has pleasant coffee shop attached and there are loads of sports facilities including tennis, gym, squash and a spa.
Isle of Wight is wonderful for holidays - loads of attractions, beaches, castles, pubs etc - nothing is more than 45 minutes away.

The West Bay Club is a little village of self-catering holiday houses a 15 minute walk from Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. There is a lovely selection of cottages, one, two and three bed, in New England style. The accommodation is to a high standard and the housekeeping staff really keep the cottages and grounds nice and clean.
The complex is spacious with plenty of green and paved spaces so kids can run around or ride their scooters/bike in a relatively safe environment. There is free access to a 20 metre, heated indoor pool, three Astro-turf tennis courts, three squash and badminton courts. Use of sports facilities, gym, pool, tennis courts are all included in price. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
We have visited four times now and the kids love it here. On our last visit the kids were old enough to join in with more of the organised activities and played football and water polo. For an additional fee our eldest has his first try at scuba diving.
Also available at a cost is an aerobics studio specialising in Yoga and Pilates and an ESPA Spa that includes both a sauna and steam room.
The Country Club also offers free Wi-Fi as do the main reception buildings. There is also a cafe and a shop.
Remember to take your towels/tea towels because these are not provided. Also, if you have small children it is worth asking for one of the cottages on the green so you can sit on the patio and watch them play without leaving the comfort of your cottage.
