The Atlantic Inn where we stayed in Hugh Town, St Mary's dates back to the C17th and is right on the waterfront. Our en suite room was comfortable and there was an expansive choice of beverages on our tea making tray.
The food there was wonderful (we had half board); you could have had a starter, soup, main and dessert course as well as after dinner coffee/mints every night but we used to skip the soup and eat sparingly of the starter as the portions were so generous. Breakfast consisted of the usual cereals and everything imaginable cooked freshly for you (eg. smoked salmon and scrambled egg was one of the choices) - I was very impressed that on the morning we left, the dining room was opened 1.5hrs earlier than usual and the same choice was available. After a huge breakfast, there was need for very little at lunch - I was surprised to find when I got home that I hadn't put weight on; it must have been all the walking we did.
Would I go back again? Yes I would.
