It's nothing like what the website. There is no games room. No coffee lounge ,poor wi fi. No housekeeping flashing lights in cabaret room although I asked before booking and they said they don't have them very dirty and very basic the food was excellent. The waitress staff was excellent , reception is closed most of the time. No housekeeping they allow dogs in the dining room , dirty is a understatement kettle didn't work in the room I reported it and they just said oh never mind.
Beds were comfortable. There was a hen party on and the women was helping them self's to drinks. Would never go back , - extremely cold- I ended up with pneumonia

Hotel tip: The only proper service we got was from the dining room , rest of the time didn't get any kind of service and if asked for anything they just couldn't care. Need more staff , better training , everything needs updating

Our group of 15 arrived at the New President Hotel at 30 minutes notice after being badly let down by another hotel.
We were warmly welcomed and 7 rooms were quickly made ready for us.Some of the rooms were bigger than others, but all were very clean and well furnished.
We were on a Turkey and Tinsel break, with a few other largish groups, and independent families and couples.
Although the dining room was being redecorated and meals were taken in the entertainments room, it did not affect our enjoyment one bit. We had all the traditional meals - Christmas Eve, -Day,Boxing Day, New Year. Both breakfasts and evening meals were on a buffet basis, and were plentiful, well cooked and very tasty with lots of variety for carnivores and veggies alike.
The bar was very reasonable for a hotel.
After the evening meal there was a DJ, cabaret and dancing which was very good, with different acts each evening.
We would like to commend especially the MC and DJ "Steff" who made sure that everyone enjoyed the evenings.
However, all the staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful.
The Hotel is on the seafront about 15-20 minutes walk
from the centre of Blackpool, and buses and trams go from in front of the Hotel. For 4 or more it is as cheap to get a cab,but make sure you go by the meter.
Perhaps the best recommendation for this hotel is that we- and several other groups of people- have already booked in for a reunion weekend

We have stayed at The President 3 times now, and we would certainly visit again.
The first visit was with my Mum and 3 aunts, who are VERY fussy and they enjoyed it too. The hotel was clean, although there were a couple of areas looking a bit tired, mainly the reception and the small sitting area off this.
The other visits were just my husband and myself, and we stayed in the honeymoon suite once ( no we weren't on honeymoon, just fancied having a suite, lol).
The other time we stayed in a twin room, a bit small, but we were only sleeping there! The shower room was clean, and on a 5 day stay towels were changed twice. The food was of a good standard with a good choice, and was well presented. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially the manager, Alan.
The location was a bit out from the centre but buses and trams stop outside. We used taxis and reception rang one for us.
Can't comment on the entertainment as we went out, but the bar was good and prices not too bad for a hotel.
We would definitely visit this hotel again.
