This hotel is rated No.1 in Blackpool on other travel advisory sites, a rating it richly deserves for a budget hotel.
Rooms are spotless, beds are of a v high standard, linen is clean and fresh. Complimentary items are all included soaps, shampoos tea, coffee, hot chocolate(all branded names) even bottled water. All these are replaced on a daily basis without having to ask as are all used towels even if u just dried your hands on them.
Public areas are very clean with high quality furnishings, Public wcs are spotless, shining like a new penny.
I must mention the breakfast...wow !... help yourself buffet for cereals yoghurt's fruit etc. and freshly cooked hot breakfasts served to your table using all the best of ingredients..Absolutely lipsmackingly gorgeous, ps have as much as you want they don't mind!!!
The Husband and Wife Hosts are very friendly and will do all they can to help you whether you have a problem on your stay or need cheaper show tickets etc.
Slight downsides are no parking so get a coach there, and not really suitable for disabled or v elderly as fairly steep stairs.
In Summary Quality and Excellence ..many Hotels in Blackpool will charge you more but can't deliver ..it's all the small things in this Hotel that make it special and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone
Ps. they don't allow stag/hen nights which is also a bonus

I booked to stay here for the bank holiday weekend 26 August 2006 for 2 nights with my partner and dad I booked a double room and a single when we arrived we was told by Geoff that he had double booked so there wasn't a double room for us. As you can imagine I wasn't very happy and Geoff managed to book us a room next door at the rockley hotel so I just thought well there isn't much we can do.
When we went next door and was taken to our room my first impressions was it was dated and the room wasnt very clean.
The shower wasn't even in the cubicle so you had to turn it on from the outside then get in but I had to keep getting out to adjust the tempature which was annoying the bar downstairs didn't smell very fresh it smelled like dogs so we didn't go in there.
The next day we had breakfast which wasn't up to much you just got what you were given he also asked us to pay for our room as we was on our way out so I went back to the Norwood and spoke to Lorriane and told her I wasn't happy about where I was staying and she didn't seem interested so I just got my dad and went out for the full day and night.
They had a hen party in which kept us awake which if we had of stayed at the norwood we wouldn't have had that so the next day we went home and we still had to pay the same price as the norwood which I was angry about then my dad rang me saying Geoff wanted to see us before we went and he said he would give us a free weekend to compensate next year and that he would confirm this in writing im still waiting nearly 2 weeks later you would have thought he would make it priorty.
