On arrival we were greeted with a small dog who was a little nasty towards the children.
The rooms were pleasant the hosts were miserable, there was no entertainment and the bar although we were told closes at 11.30 actually was closed at 9.30. They were not around breakfast, but they were adequate Although not a good variety for children.
We were not offered an evening meal although they advertise this service. Sorry but very disappointed.
On leaving there was debris on the car as the wall at the back is crumbling.

If you're looking for a very good B&B in Blackpool this is the one for you. It's run by Janice & John Brady and they took over management earlier this year.
The rooms are very spacious & clean. They have a couple of family rooms, which sleep up to 4. Breakfast is brilliant and they do evening meals which you have to order in the morning. They have a bar which has a fruit machine & space invaders machine (keeps the kids quiet).
They are based on the south shore (about 5 minute walk from the pleasure beach), we're going back next weekend!!

This was our first family holiday.
We have a very active 6 year old son and a 5 year old disabled daughter who is wheelchair bound.
We could not have asked more pleasant and helpful people - Janice and John are two of the nicest people I know. They were very helpful where our Daughter was concerned. They made special arrangements for the wheelchair and access.
The room was very clean. The towels (which are provided) were brilliant white.
The breakfast was excellent - full english - with no grease on the plate.
Each evening we would go back to the hotel and have a drink in the bar. It didn't feel like we were in the hotel bar, it felt like we were having a drink with family.
As long as we can manage the stairs with our Daughter, we will continue to holiday at the Rio Rita. (and as long as Janice and John are still there)
