Stayed in Hotel 53 after finding it on Laterooms and we were very pleasantly surprised.
We were greeted on reception by Rachel (?) who was chatty and friendly and let us know where would be good to go to dinner. We went to Plunketts in the end, which was near the Minster, but Hotel 53 is quite central so not far to walk!
The room was lovely. There was a sofa which made it feel very homely. Apparently these can be folded out for families with young children.
We stayed two nights and really loved it. The other couple we travelled with had a front facing room which was a bit loud at night with the pub across the road, but they spoke to reception who moved them for the second night and they were very happy afterwards. They had a HUGE kingsize bed.

Travel operator: Laterooms
Hotel tip: Book by phone. We found out after we'd arrived that they would have beaten our best price by 10%! Try to avoid rooms at the front, which can be loud sometimes.
