We stayed here for one night on a bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast was buffet service with plenty of choice and fried and poached eggs were cooked freshly to order. The tables were cleared quickly so there was no waiting around.
We arrived at the hotel at 3:30 pm and the check in was very quickly dealt with. We had a lovely well sized room overlooking the river and the room had plenty of storage space. There were complimentary toiletries in the bathroom and we had tea/coffee making facilities. The room had a decent sized flat screen TV.
The hotel was in a brilliant location on the opposite side of the river to all the bars and night life so we didn't get any noise. All the sights, theatres, shops, restaurants and bars were within easy walking distance of the hotel.
We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel on check out day so that we were able to enjoy our day fully. We did have a coffee at the hotel when we returned to our hotel to collect our bags which I thought was quite expensive and nothing special so I would stick to drinking coffee in the many lovely cafes/tea houses around York, much better value.
Will definitely stay here again when we visit York again. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
