The inn has the friendly atmosphere of travellers and holiday makers as it is situated right in the middle of Hadrian's Wall Walk.
The locals are used to strangers and have learnt an easy, friendly manner towards them. You won't be left sitting a corner here, there are real old fashioned knees up mother brown sing songs and dancing.
The rooms are cosy and clean which is very welcome after a day of hiking. Reasonable tarrifs, too.
The food is excellent, with a varied menu. They certainly don't believe in skimping on portion size, either!
A great little treasure to be found in the middle of the countryside!
