We returned to Dukes for a 4 night stay over Christmas. We love the hotel & the staff. It's also perfect for us as we have a small dog & Dukes permits dogs, which is a rarity in Bath! We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Bath. The ownership had recently changed & the new owners are lovely & welcoming. As are all the staff, who they have kept on. Nothing is too much trouble. Incredibly comfortable & spacious rooms (we have stayed in 'Buccleuch' twice). Breakfasts are fantastic. Great location, very close to Pulteney Bridge, but the hotel remains nice & quiet.
See you again soon!

We had previously stayed at this hotel 4 years ago for our honeymoon. we had the chance for some time away for our anniversary and rang the Hotel on the spur of the moment, we were lucky they had a suite availble. The hotel have now new owners and it improved our stay.
this Hotel is Luxurious and the rooms are decorated in keeping with the period of the hotel.
the room we had was lovely overlooking the famous Great Poultney Street, it is a 5 min walk to the start of the town. We were lucky with finding a parking space with which the hotel provided us with a permit.
The room was comfortable and the bed was huge. the bathroom was very clean with bathrobes and huge white fluffy towels.
We had booked an evening meal with the restaurant, and must say the food is most porbably one of the best meals we've had. The chef uses local produce and is well sourced.
before we had dinner we went out to the little courtyard for drinks , there are patio heaters on wich were very welcome.
the staff were very friendly and knowledgebile about the food and wine.
We only stayed for one night. which was such a shame
the breakfast was superb and freshly cooked and plenty of choice.
the checking out and in were very fast and effcient.
We wanted to got to Longleat on our way home and the receptionist printed a map from the computer.
It is well worth visiting this hotel for a special occasion it is expensive but so well worth it.
Looking forward to going back again
