Went for long weekend with daughter son in law and their grandson.
Been to Sand Bay and loved it. This weekend was same price but no comparison
On arrival was given keys but chalet had not been touched
Dirty washing up in bowl, bin overflowing and dirty toilet. Complained and chalet was cleaned whilst we had dinner. Food atrocious and restaurant was total chaos, shortage of food, plates & cutlery and what was there had not been washed up properly tables never cleared or cleaned. Yuk, the whole camp was dusgusting, dirty glasses everywhere, rats running around in the grounds, barely any staff about. Will never ever go back. Should be condemned. I normally read reviews like this and think "some people are never satisfied" but believe me this really was awful. Visit at your peril!!!!

What you get is budget room but generally clean.

If you want 4or 5 star accomodation don't come here if however you're not a snob you should enjoy your stay. £119 each half board is great value

accomodation was basic but clean, pillows were very old and flat , matteress has plastic coating on so you slide in bed , this was over 40,s holiday i will say the entertainment on the friday was fab ,food was awful most of it not even edible ,this made us go out of complex on the 2nd day and stayed out all day then cut holiday short and left to stay else where so we could have food and a decent nights sleep before travelling home .

Booked for a Birthday, cleanliness was awful, rooms were messed up and the toilet didnt work. Dinner, chicken was dry and there were no cups to get drinks with, when we complained and stated we wanted to leave we were basically pushed away with the bloke saying "okay you can leave" didnt even offer to help or to give us the form to get a refund. Now when we try to get a refund for the fact we didnt even spend one night we were there for 2 hours max, they will not even liaise with me because i didnt fill out a form i wasnt even offered. They need to work on their customer service ASAP will never be staying here again. Such a horrible environment.

Filthy dirty garden no maintaining of gardens litter ever where stinging nettles metre high restaurant running out of food carpets stained and patched chalet basic complete dump.

We booked this for a country and western weekend! On arrival there was no parking for key collection. After getting keys headed to accommodation. No parking outside chalets so if you’re disabled it’s not ideal. Booked 2 bedroom chalet, but 2nd bedroom locked and was told it was £15 to open it due to under occupancy!! Chalet gloomy. Needs serious upgrade. Why wasn’t it done during lockdown! Food diabolical, all like fast food. No meat! Most of music was from a DJ. Was frightened of getting Legionnaires disease from shower! Won’t book again. Booked Friday to Monday, left Sunday!!

Had the misfortune of booking this dump through the sun holiday scheme.Filthy bed linen thrown all over the grass,mould around shower and bath.Was supposed to be a 1 bedroom chalet but in actual fact looked like a prison cell which had 2 rooms,1 which was a bathroom and the other was a living room/bedroom/kitchen.It also came with an adjoining door into someone elses chalet,meaning that you could hear everything that was being said and also see their feet through the gap at the bottom of the badly fitted flimsy door.The manager modelled himself on basil fawlty only with less people skills and more rudeness.Food was inedible and unrecognisable.Expected to wear a bright orange plastic wrisband at all times for the full duration of the holiday,the wristband was not removable and had to be cut off.bullying bouncers posing as security guards(one of which tried to assault my wife!!!!).We witnessed the manager shout in the faces of 2 old dears who had stated they didnt want to wear the wristbands "well you have got to". Obviously we didn't stay even 1 night.Manager refused point blank to write down our complaints,in fact he wrote what he wanted and asked us to sign it!!!.when we refused we were told we wouldnt get a refund,in the end we did struggle to get a refund as there is only one way to complain which is by email.The chalets look worse than prison blocks and the site comes complete with a watch tower in case you try to escape.I will leave you with a direct quote from basil fawlty the manager-

Dirty cups in a dirty cupboard. On arrival. The pillows were so flat they should be thrown out. The showers are not good, have to keep pushing a button. The drains outside had no covers, and were smelling so bad you could smell it inside the chalet.

Hotel tip: There was only one restaurant open and one bar. The entertainment at night started to late.

Lovely place. My son was entertained for the whole week with PGL activities, Pontins activities, playing table tennis, darts, pool etc with me and swimming. The food is good with a great choice including vegetarian and a special child's menu too. The only problem was the kids entertainment started so late at night. The beach is 5 mins walk away and there are coach trips out so a car is not vital. A great time - shame it is so expensive this year!
