This hotel is superbly located right next to Leeds train station, and even has a back door exit that takes you into Leeds station without having to go outside in the rain.(something the concierge showed us).
This hotel apparently is where all the famous people stay when they are in Leeds. But the price was so incredibly cheap for room only.
The hotel is superbly decorated, all wood panels, gold bannisters and railings, wooden floors, tasteful ornaments and portraits. It just oozes class from the instant you see it.
The hotel is superbly clean and has a modern feel despite being periodically decorated for somewhere in the 1920's.There are also things like a hairdressers, a barbers, jewellery shop, business room etc.
The hotel breakfast is quite pricey at £14.95 for a breakfast but they do have an all-day restaurant and bar as well as room service. We did have a bar meal which was well presented, reasonably priced and very filling. The drinks prices are quite reasonable too, although we only had a couple there before moving elsewhere.
The staff are discreet in their presence but every polite and helpful, check in was easy. They do take an extra £50 off your card upon arrival in case you rack up a bill, which they then either refund or sort out with you when you check out. They also keep your cases for you if you check out and have a while to wait before you actually leave the city.
The rooms are spacious and have good facilities, a fridge, TV, hair dryer, all the usual stuff as well as free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
Without a shadow of a doubt I will be returning to this hotel.
