My family and I were lucky enough to win a trip to Lapland in December 2012. We stayed in the Santas Hotel Holiday Club which was right in the centre of the resort of Saariselka. The hotel was very large and our room was on the ground floor round the back of the hotel which was quite a long walk from reception!
The room itself was clean and of a good size although it wouldn't have mattered too much as we did not spend a lot of time in our room anyway.
The hotel has a large swimming pool which has a wave machine, a chute for the kids and 2 Jacuzzis. The pool area and changing rooms were kept very clean and were not too busy.
We stayed there on a half board basis, breakfast and dinner was buffet style served over 3 hours. There was variety of different food on offer and was always kept well stocked up. The hotel also has a small gift shop attached to it which is handy for buying last minute presents.
