The resort effectively provided 2 bars/tavernas and a couple of supermarkets and the obligitary car rental company. It ctered almost exclusively for the captive audience from the Marbella Hotel, and managed to charge prices accordingley. I was just glad we hired a jeep, and got around the island, and saw the real Corfu, rather than this overpriced resort, exploiting the tourists. Once again, the only saving grace was that the locals were still very very friendly

I wouldn't call Aghios Ioannis a resort. Benitses and Moratiki are the nearest what I would call resort places so if you are wanting to sample night life after the hotel entertainment finishes this where you head.
