The hotel comprises 3 floors of pastel colored chalets situated above the main coastal road, directly facing the sea.
The view is stunning the chalets clean spacious with lounge bedroom and 2 bathrooms one with bath and one with shower.
There are 3 lifts within the main dining room, bar, reception, gym and entertainment block next to th pool and sun bed area.
However most of these were closed, but could be opened, there was no entertainment, next to no staff, no tea or coffee facilities within the rooms.
The food was appalling cold, repetitive-constantly the same, no personal pot of tea or coffee at your table, in fact none available with the evening meal and a shared pot of coffee for breakfast with tea making urn available for use.
The hotel is based above the main road reached via steps to the beach or a steep winding hill so you need to be mobile to leave the hotel itself. Benitses is the nearest village a 10 minute stroll away for those capable of negotiating the steps or hill, it has a limited number of shops and taverns.
This is not and will never be a 5 star hotel the view is magnificent and would be difficult to beat. The accommodation of good quality and if you wish to have a very quiet holiday by the pool, this could be for you as long as the main coastal road and direct flight path into corfu airport does not bother you and most importantly, you having paid for evening meals or prepared to go out and buy food instead each evening.
The sea is close enough to be heard lapping the shore from your balcony it is less than 100yds to the shingle beach but you had better be able to negotiate the steps down and the main road to get to it.
Would we go again No, however the company as always when faced with adversity was wonderful.
