Location
The hotel cleanliness was very good and the towels and bedclothes were changed daily. We didn't sample the evening entertainment but there was always a crowd in the entertainment lounge.
Sun loungers are free around the pool area but the ones around the grounds and sea area are not.

Extra large balcony built for sun bathing but only a small table and two uncomfortable chairs, no sun loungers, these were charged extra by the hotel and could only be used in the gardens or the beach.
The total amount for this over our stay was

Our daily room sevice was always done after 2 in the afternoon on every day, we were at the end of a long passage, guests at the other end had the best service at all times.
Every member of staff were good and very helpful.
The charges for sun loungers should be dropped this is greedy management. We have never had to pay for the use of sun beds that are owned by the hotel.
Over a 14 night stay this amounts to about

The hotel manager ate at the hotel a number of the nights whilst we were there.
There was a lack of day time entertainment - the gym instructor even broke his arm and was not replaced!!!!
The beach at the other end of Dassia is much quieter and the beach is more sand and pebbles rather than pebbles.

It was the final week before the hotel closed until next season and the cleanliness in some parts of the hotel and surrounding areas reflected this. The room could have been cleaner especially the bathroom which was particularly grubby and in need of a good scrub and some bleach. The corridor carpets were in urgent need of replacement in the part of the hotel in which we stayed.
The food was good if a little predictable.
Food and drinks very expensive to buy in the hotel. Unfortunately with most of the outside bars already shut for the season alternatives were very limited.
The hotel is beautifully located in its own grounds and ajoins its sister hotel only yards from the beach. The beach shelved gently into what was a particurlarly cold sea! Unfortunately the sister hotel was already closed so its amenities were not available for us to use.
Free hotel bus service to Corfu Town every hour.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Entertainment was poor. A couple of local singers in the main bar each evening.
Finally, in our opinion the hotel was not of 4 star standard, nearer 3 star.

Our room was overlooking a very busy road, we understood we would have a sea view room but could not get a proper reason why not, the hotel was clean with beautiful gardens but having said that there are not many good things to say.
The food is very bland and choices very confusing, for example roast pork with five pasta dishes, no veg. the service was poor, tables were not cleared very quickly, hence tables full of dirty pots.
We do not think there was enough staff, and the head waiter did not seem bothered. The magician was very good, but that was the only thing all week, entertainment was shocking.

Wouldn't visit again as there ia a very busy road that runs directly in front of the hotel - which is why you must have a sea view if you are not hard of hearing.
The road can take 5 minutes to cross sometimes and is quite dangerous for anyone who is not adept at weaving between the traffic.
The other side of the hotel is great. Lovely sea views and mountains. The sea is clean and safe for children to bathe in ( as far as we could see).
The entertainment is poor and most people go out at nights unless they have small children and are confined to the hotel.
The staff - There are two receptionists -only go to Zoe, who is very helpful. Whatever you don't ask the other one about anything she seemed exceptionally bad tempered when we were there. The porter was very good and even worth tipping as he will help you if anything goes wrong.Maitre D - a bit scary for children if they are not used to much attention.
Food - the usual Euro-canteen stuff. Mean with roast meat.Try and get more than two small slices out of the chef - Go on we dare you! It can be done if you refuse to move.
It's basically a 3-star. Relatively clean but with the usual 1 sheet-on-the-mattress and slightly soiled carpet. Staff seemed perplexed that child needed own towel (usual thin white ones) and own glass. Had to constantly request these items as 'room onlyfor two people'... and yes it was, as not much space, but view made up for it and balcony decent.
Take a hairdryer if keen on hair or bathrooms as the one in the bathroom is very slow.
The pool much better than the Corfu sister hotel next door - but does tend to get invaded by gangs of British children. Depending on who is lifeguarding you will have a terrible pool experience or a very good one.
The majority of guests seems to be Italians, Dutch and around 10 percent British. Didn't like the Corfu as much as the Dassia, as much noisier when we were there and grimy in the ground floor loo.
Best trips - To Corfu town to have the traditional walk around and chocolate drinks and ginger beers (left over from the British rule) at the central cafe, where everyone promenades. Paxos ....boat from the harbour.
Hotel looked quite well set for anyone with walking difficulties as ramps almost everywhere and the hotel is on an incline at the front - rather than steps - but not so good if you want to cross the main road to the shops.

The hotel staff could not be more helpful and the beach and gardens are wonderful.
Initally on sight you would think that the food was great, looks ok, but unfortunately that is were it stops. The food was always luke warm and all the meat tasted the same. Very disappointing. We decided to try the food at the sister hotel as you can eat at either hotel. Same problem, food looks good but luke warm and tasteless -
What a shame, it would have ended a perfect holiday otherwise!!!

The food had its excellent and okay days but on the whole was good.
The entertainment was very good considering there where just 4 entertainers for 2 hotels. My Children loved the entertainers Silvia and Claire, who loved the mini disco supplyed. The daytime entertainment was ok though we did tend to go on day trips a lot- the south bout trip is one to do!!
On the whole a great family holiday, lucy and megan my daughters really enjoyed the mini club ( thanks Angela)
And especially when Claire (entertainer) did the face painting for them at the beach party. A very friendly and welcoming hotel.

Plenty of daytime activities for all ages, the reps are all so much fun and the evening entertainment is great!
I really reccommend this hotel as it was one of the best holidays ever!
