Just returned from a two-week say here (Aug 2002). Worth paying the extra for rooms with a sea view. Sunsets are fantastic. A good, relaxing place to stay if you just like to chill out by the pool. Always plenty of sunbeds. A lot is made of the steep access road to the hotel and the beach (it's actually about 1 in 4) but not a killer if you take your time (never actually used the free minibus). It can be a good base for exploring the island with a hire car as you don't have to battle with the manic traffic of Corfu Town to get to the really nice bits - and it's pleasant and quiet to return to. There's a good little track through olive groves to the village of Pelekas where you will find a few more watering holes and even an Internet Cafe. All-in-all - not the sort of place to go to if you enjoy a lively night-life!! But great for peace and relaxation!!

My boyfriend and I went there in June 2002 for a week. The hotel itself is very clean and our room was cleaned everyday. The hotel is at the bottom of a steep hill and just outside the hotel grounds are two tavernas (the one on the righthand side does great sarnies) However apart from the two tavernas the hotel appears to be in the middle of nowhere. The hotel has two large swimming pools and plenty of sunbeds. However, it is no longer a Thomson Gold so children are allowed now. The snack bar near the pool serves food from about 10am - 3pm but lacks variety. The food in the hotel was good but doesn't offer much choice if you are vegetarian. Having said all that we had a relaxing week and the weather was lovely.
