Stayed in the Monika Hotel for two weeks in July. Accomodation is pretty basic but clean. Excellent location for beach, (2 mins walk) and only 5mins to the 'strip'. We had booked for B & B but if we wanted we could have a cooked breakfast, (discount if you already paid for B&B). Had our lunch every day in hotel as food really good. Emily and Theo very friendly and nothing is too much touble. Greek night once a week - excellent!!

The Monika is basic but clean accommodation, we stayed in a 2 2 bedroomed apartment, but they only have 2 of these. These apartments do not have a television or air conditioning, the rooms were cleaned everyday. As said before, don't book with your rep for trips, very expensive. The menu is pretty limited compared to alot of the other apartments, and if Theo has gone home and you want something to eat they have to call him to come back in. The pool,is good and doesn't get too crowded and it is right in the beach, there are also loads of places to eat beside the Monika.
If you want basic, clean apartments and plan on eating out at night times the Monika is a good base.

Got last minute deal in August 05.
We were allocated what we affectionately called the stables, because that exactly what they felt like, dark, with low concrete ceiling.
Room was very small and a little worse for wear. Walls very thin, could hear everything next door; I will not go into details! There were other rooms which ran next to the River, they looked much better and their position was really nice opposite the river.
The complex is very close to the beach and about 5 minutes walk to the bars and tavernas. Breakfast was 2 pieces of toast and a cup of tea or coffee. Although if you paid extra you could have an English breakfast, which was good.
Pool was quite busy; we used next doors pool which was lovely and very quiet even though it was August.
