Do not go to the Greek night at Oasis.. Not re-commended. Hotel is slightly out of town so if you can hire a car.

All rooms are clean and tidy. Food is great and breakfast is either full English with cereal and fruit juice, Greek breakfast or just toast and coffee. The swimming pool is large and spotless with plenty of sunbeds. Location is close to everything you need in Sidari.

sidari was a nice well kept place, cleans streets.
lots of entertainment for every taste and its free..
beaches bit sad...lovely views, but not the sandy beaches you expect, they are more like lakes, canal de mour, was very interesting but you can hardly swim around it .
i wopuld visit the resort again, the people are great, never had any problems.

Very disappointed by the beach, very dirty and strewn with cigarette ends.
We weren't too impressed with the village centre, a bit on the tacky side.
On the positive side would highly recommend Sailors restaurent, a small family-run business. The food is excellent, as is the service. They relly appreciate it if you try to speak some Greek!

General Area:
Sidari is pretty much a classic brits destination. It consists of a main "strip" where to the right it is more britsh night life - eg pubs playing football and souvenir shops selling fake watches/belts/wallets etc. This is fine but be prepared for it to be predominantly british and loud! We enjoyed it once we got used to it but it is not to everyones tastes. It is kind of like a las vegas of the wild west in a way..! There are also a few nice restaurants here too.
To the left it is more greek restaurants and quieter, being more pread out and fewer bars.
Food:
The food in general is good. We tried to sample traditional greek food and found that some do it well, where as others it tends to be more "greek food done to a british taste" with some additions of chips etc! You just need to look around really. Do not be too put off by empty restaurantes, some have a beach view at the back and out of the way where everyone goes, which was the case of one we visited and it was great!
A lot of places also do greek nights with fire dancing and plate smashing - great fun!
Drink:
drinks are cheap. the offers at night tend to be 3euro for a pint plus a free shot, or 2euros for just a pint.
The beaches:
The main beach is ok. i have been to cleaner beaches and there can be a fair bit of seaweed floating at the edge of the sea on a hot day. There are plenty of pedalows etc to higher (about 10euro/hour)and it is still nice to swim in.
I would rcommend you walk about 5 mins to the left of the strip to the canal d'armor area. Here the beaches are smaller and much nicer, with small coves and rocks dotted around, even a tunnel through a headland. There are plenty of shelves on the rocks you can swim out to and sit on. People also do a bit of cliff jumping which is good fun, altho in areas the water is very shallow so you need to check it out first. Otherwise it can be very nice and relaxing and a good afternoon out away from the hotel!

if great greek food is what yuo are looking for then you will find it here.the traditional tavernas such as the family and kuniki are superb with memories and three pigs coming in a close second .for those of you who would prefer english food it readilly available.night life is great with some clubs open til 6am be prepared to drink lots of free shots.a great bar for us was the premier bar where sami has got to be the best barman on the island.prices are generally good for both food and drink.for all your day trips definetly use the street shops not your hotel reps.money exchange is readilly availiable with good rates.the beaches are generally very clean although at times are left strewn with a lot of seaweed.walking around the outskirts makes good few hours pass with the locals giving you a wave and smile a very freindly place would not to visit again.

Can smell the drains in certain parts of the resort which wasn't too pleasent.
Wide selection of tavernas, snack bars and bars to please everyone. Easy to get around to local towns and also to Corfu town.
Beach is nice but the sea doesn't get deep for a long way out so if you want to swim it is a bit difficult.
Would recommend.

If you are looking for a nice peaceful holiday then Sidhari is not for you! Unfortunately that is what were looking for. it is a very english resort for english people. There were restaurants advertising "Sunday roasts" and "Pukka Pies" and even if you can believe it a proper fish and chip shop!! There were a couple of traditional tavernas amongs all this and the best amongst them was the Mythos which served excellent food and huge portions. The prices were very reasonable and they served both greek speacialites and some english dishes. The Sea Breeze also served good greek fare and their meat dishes including t bone steak were very cheap. The majority though are very much catered to the english. There was also chinese and indian to choose from and an excellent mexican called Panchos. The bars were manic. You got accosted everytime you walked down the main street with offers of cheap beer and even cheeper cocktails. This got very annoying after 2 weeks. And they were as noisy as hell. Each bar is next to each other or across the road and each was competing to be the loudest. All had Sky football on 24/7 and some even showed the soaps! Madisons Bar in particular was a hell hole. They put on regular entertainment every night such as the usual tribute acts. I think George Michael was on 3 times a week! this ofcourse drew the usual english tourists.it was like being at a working mens club every night. There just wasn't any let up. The beach is very sandy and clean and the views across to Albania are stunning. The Canal D'amour which the area is famous for is quite pretty but can get very busy. This side of the resort was also much quieter than Sidhari itself. There was no hassle and lots more traditional greek restaurants such as the Orchard which served great value for money. We found that the famous Longas beach near the village of Peroulades was much more picturesque and quieter. Car hire is essential I think just to get away from the noise and hassle. We hired bicyles which are readily available and cycled to Longas and Cape Drastis where the views are spectacular. We did a couple of trips which included Corfu Town which is a must. All in all Corfu is a beautiful green island with lots of very traditonal greek towns. Sidhari has i think been developed very much with the english in mind. I would personally not stay here again as it was far to loud and brash and not greek at all. If Sidhari was bad just think was Kavos would be like!
