St Spiridon is a beautiful place and we would recommend a holiday here - stayed at blue bay escape and had a fabulous holiday. Had no expectations and we came home wanting to go back out there.

The resort was beautiful, the view of the Albanian Mountains was outstanding. Because the resort is a bit out of the way we hired a mini bus, SCARY. Even the main roads through the island are small and busy.
Kassiopi and Acharvi were really nice but the two hour on the courtasy bus was far two short a time and too restrictive. There is a lovely small traverna outside the main resort, food was wonderful and the owners were smashing, this traverna also has a free pool, a welcome change from the busy pool in the resort which was closed three times in the first week due to 'hygine' reasons. The other two Travernas by the beaches were nice, but a wee bit pricey. Molos toilets were grubby to say the least.
Beautiful resort and we would definately go back. The beaches are ideal for families, and the snorkling is fantastic, so buy the snorkles ( good ones)at the beginning of the holiday they will be one of your best buys

The actual resort of St Spyridon was very good there was an excellent bar Valentinos and over the road an excellent restaurant the Lagoon, there the food was first class and the service brilliant, Valentinos bar didn't shut until the last customer left, I can't make up my mind whether that was a good or bad thing. There were films shown for the kidsduring some evenings and the staff was first class.
The beaches were very good the one on the left hand side being the better, no seaweed and it also had a lifeguard, it was a bit busy at the weekend but not too bad in the week and there was no problem getting a sun umbrella unlike at Blue bay.
Yes, I would visit St Spyridon again.
We visited Kassiopi which we enjoyed, it seems very lively at night and there are a lot of good restaurants, the harbour is very picturesque.

St Spyridon is a lovely, secluded place with good views of mountains of Albania over the sea plus the mountains of Corfu behind. Access to the beach is good and there are watersports available to hire.
surprised that there was a lot of litter on beach but facilities are OK, shower and changing rooms by road.
Valentinos is a good place to go for a drink, watch films and play pool.

Beach to right of Blue Bay(looking out to sea) a bit gritty & seaweedy, but some huge waves to play in. Beach to left - very clean, water warm & clear, has lifeguard, shower, toilet.Pedalos for hire also. A couple of shops selling basics, souvenirs etc, a few tavernas - Valentinos shows the latest films each night. Acharavi & Kassiopi not too far away by courtesy bus or taxi for those looking for a bit more nightlife. Local travel shop runs excursions cheaper than holiday company. Those who complain about resort location should read their brochures more carefully - a lovely location with beautiful views.

resort is first class very clean the night entertainment is very poor the reps are not up to putting on a show and should be sent back to the uk the group impuse are very good but they should be in the main bar area not in the pool bar too many kids running round beware of bingo if you get a line or a house you have to shout out loud if they havnt heared you and move on to the next number you lose the line

We only stayed for a week which we felt wasn't long enough, we didn't venture out much, however the Waterpark in corfu was fantastic, wonderful for little kids and big kids!!
The donuts on the beach were great fun and reasonably priced.
On a whole a fanastic holiday, kids didn't want to leave and i would've liked to stay a bit longer. We met great friends, would definately return, just go and have a great time.I'd recommend the resort to anyone with families.

St Spyridon is about half way between Acharavi and Kasiopi - the hotel has free courtesy buses every day but you need to book your seats and possibly miss your evening meal in the hotel. Kasiopi is probably the nicer of the towns and the travel agents in the middle of Kasiopi will give you even better deals than the shop on the beach near the hotel and send a car to pick you up and take you back. 15 Euros per person for a boat trip to Corfu Town. The taxis would have cost 10 Euros each way just to get from the hotel to Kasiopi!!
There are 2 beaches by the hotel and 3 tavernas - one with food. There are also tavernas a short distance inland from the hotel but we didn't check them out. The bar type taverna by the larger beach was the nearest to the wildlife area and the place where mozzies were most prevalent. They are not really a problem at the hotel as long as you take precautions but you'll probably end up with a few bites whatever you do. It is the first hotel I've been to in the Med where they have not been the slightest problem in the rooms - the air con and window/door seals are that good.
The bar we spent most time in was the one on the smaller beach just to the right of the hotel - as you look at the sea - very friendly even if the beer was over-priced (5 Euros!!!!!). They tried to make up for it by dishing out free rounds of tequila - they were also trying to get us dancing to watch our faces as we avoided the flying plates, methinks! Beer comes in glasses fished out of the freezer - just wished they'd had more fans on the go while we watched the football. 2 tvs, one showing BBC/ITV and the other has Greek TV. There's a big screen in the hotel as well.
The beaches were lovely - gently shelving sand and clear water - and warm once you get in. We didn't try the watersports as it was 15 Euros a ride per person minimum - didn't seem worth it.
Would love to go back

St Spyridon is lovely and the locals are very friendly, we were invited to a festival at the local church, Wine food and dancing, we didn't stay to long as was a bit hectic for the children who are only small, but lovely atmosphere, nice bit of greek culture.
We did not see any entertainment in the resort, we did go on a boat trip to Corfu Town for the day which was great, we booked through an agent just outside the back of the hotel where the shops are. It was only 38 Euro's for 4 of us including a bus transfer really good value for money. Corfu Town bought welcome relief and a bit of retail therepy in some non souviner shops.
We didn't visit any of the other beaches as the one outside the hotel was just right for the children.
We wouldn't visit the resort or to be honest the island again as we don't think that there's much more to see. Unless your into the 3 million Olive trees that grow on the island (Taxi driver fact)
Lovely for a relaxing holiday, 2 weeks my be just a bit too long as we were looking forward to getting home a little too much. Definately not a place to go without children and don't be told otherwise.
