Manos Apartments in Elounda are well worth a visit. In an ideal location and with the helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff there, goes a long way in making your stay enjoyable. A very pleasant pool bar that serves good food makes an ideal change from the beach. As we expect in Greece, rooms are basic but very clean and well maintained.
The weekly barbeque on a Sunday night is worth a visit and quite reasonably priced for the entertainment and standard of food that you receive.
Thanks again to Mike, Stavros and all the staff for their hard work in making our stay with them a memorable one.

When we arrived in Crete and started on the transfer to the resort, which did take 2.5 hours, we were a little worried at the fact that we were the last on the bus. There was no need to worry as "Saving the best to until last" definitely applies.
We had booked a last minute holiday so we had got a 4 bed apartment as this was all that was left, and we were also quite close to the pool and I understand some of the apartments were quite a walk from the pool area.
The apartment was lovely, really spacious and very clean. There were three balconies to choose from so you could always find sun or shade. There was air conditioning, but it cost six euros a night, we didn't use this until the very last night when it did get very hot and the lovely breeze that had been with us disappeared! The apartment was cleaned 3 times a week, but the lovely lady (sorry, can't remember her name) came in more often to empty the bins. The towels and bed linen were changed twice a week.
The pool area was spotless, we couldn't believe it when the owners power washed the sun lounges once a week to keep them clean and free of sun oils etc. The pool is about 5ft deep at all points, but it was really nice and clean.
The pool bar was great too, really reasonable prices and huge portions. The girls in the day and Stavros in the evening did everything they could to make you feel welcome. Stavros soon became our Greek tourist information guide and was really helpful - not to mention a great laugh. The Greek night and bbq on Saturday night was fun and the food was fab, would definitely recommend it.
The apartments are situated at one end of the resort and only took a few minutes to walk to where the majority of bars and tavernas are. Right opposite the apartments across the road is the beach so you couldn't be closer.

The facilties in our "apartment" were very basic, the room itself was extremely small and to move round it my friend and I either had to dodge one another or one go out of the room and the other stay in.
Being August the room was very hot, no air conditioning, we did hire a fan it cost 1.5 euros a day. As it was Self Catering we were told we didn't get supplied with more than 1 toilet roll, so folks pack your own! Alternatively, there was a small supermarket less than 2 minutes walk from the apartment where you could purchase your necessities.
We ate a couple of times at the pool bar the food was always cooked fresh and always very edible, the staff were friendly and helpful. The views were amazing and the apartments were located approx 5 mins walk from the town centre and the beach was just across the road.

I have just visited the Manos appartments in Elounda, Crete. It was a lovely little fishing village with wonderful views. The accomodation was fairly basic although clean and tidy. The staff were very polite and great to get on with. Stavros (crazy)and Mick were ace and the girls on day duty were very friendly. The location was excellent and very quiet. The local restaurants were very good. Manos barbecue night on saturday is well worth the price (

Being a long drive from the airport we were glad to arrive. We were quite a way from the pool and bar area but the apartment made up for it.
One large room with large wardrobe and drawers with twin beds kitchen/dining area with another single bed and decent sized bathroom and best of all a huge terrace which we made the most of.
We did not use the pool while we were there as the beach is just accross the road and we spent most of the time there.
We found all the staff friendly and all of them spoke to when you met or were just passing. Can't fault the bar snacks the sanwiches were huge - we ended up sharing and the bar was open until everyone was gone.
There was a great big television screen (World Cup when we were there) and a pool table. The greek night was good and well worth the money , the food was plentful and delicious and a good night was had by all.
It was my first time to Greece and now know why everybody raves about it. My Mum and Auntie who I went with have been to most of the Greek Islands and said that the accommodation was about the best they had stayed in.

Great apartments directly across the road from the beach.
The staff were very friendly, especially Stavros, the barman (he always seemed to be on duty). Rooms were very basic, but for the amount of time we spent in them it didn't matter.
They seemed to be cleaned frequently, but never got disturbed by the cleaners. The pool is lovely and clean although the water was freezing, and had no trouble getting a sunbed at any time of the day.
No entertainment when we went (end of season), but Stavros kept the bar open until the last person left, although there was never any pressure to leave.
