On reading the other reviews and 3 years on this hotel has not changed we visited in june 09 and its still exactly the same except there is no evening entertainment anymore. cleanliness is still ther top priority, food was okay, well it had to be as you are in the middle of no-where and to get to main road where buses run is a mile hike through a dirt track and is very leafy not safe for three women on there own to walk through. They must still have the same staff as none of them offer u a smile or bother to say hello. Beach which is down a dirt track is shingly and rocky with a run down cafe on it you feel as if you are in the outback, and cleanliness is not there top priority at this beach cafe.

This hotel looks fab on the website and to be fair the pool is great and the place, on the whole is spotless. I enjoyed lying around not doing much for a week but if you're looking for more you'll be disappointed.
I went on the all inclusive option which I've never done before but from others comments this hotel came up pretty poorly by AI standards.
Evening entertainment happens once a week and that was laughable - 2 Greek dancers in a cleared patio area in the dark!
The drinks for AI are all served in white plastic cups - even in the evening - so you're singled out, as the other (mostly card playing europeans) sup their fancy cocktails from real glasses! As for the drinks - the 2 spirits on offer (yes - only 2!) were ouzo and a weird cooking brandy.
The AI cocktails consisted of cheap spirits topped up with a disastrous number of fruit juices that tasted dreadful.
Food is ok but the same thing every day and some reheated stuff - and nothing available on AI after 9.30pm. If you have children (or if you're an ice cream lover) be aware that it's only available at certain times of the day and only 2 scoops per person! For those looking for a fun packed holiday this probably isn't the place for you (we got told off for laughing at midnight).
The extras, that other guests said are normally included in AI, are only available at a price e.g.

My stay at the Chrispy village was very disappointing. The food and drinks included within the all inclusive package were limited and the same food choices were offered for lunch and dinner every day of my holiday, there was also very little on the menu for children. At evening, a poor selection of alcoholic drinks were offered until 11pm, all of which were served in white plastic cups-hardly the standards you expect to be paying for within an all inclusive package.
On arrival, my friends and I were checked into two 3* double rooms even though we had requested and paid for two twin bedded 4* rooms. Several other guests staying the week had similar problems with their rooms. When discussing this with our rep and the hotel manager, neither were interested and told us that the hotel was very busy in september and that they did not have enough rooms.Half way through our holiday we were moved and 4 of us shared one small 4* room.
The hotel was located within a very quiet area of crete, with no local entertainment. As a group, we travelled 15 minutes to a local town by taxi most nights because the area we were staying in was too quiet.
There was no entertainment provided within the hotel bar 1 themed greek night, this consisted of 2 greek dancers performing in the dark for 30 minutes.
On a positive note, the hotel grounds were always clean and the pool area was lovely.
I would not recommend this hotel to others as I belive the staff were rude and unhelpful.

We have just returned from a nightmare week in the Chrispy hotel, village. If you want to wast your money then go to this hotel!! The cleanliness of the hotel was the best part about it, it went down hill from there and fast! The food was rubbish, the same thing everyday for both luncha nd dinner and harldy anything for the kids to eat. The staff of the hotel need to show more interest into there guests and the manager was very rude. Absoluatally no entertainment at night apart from one night which is advertised as a cretan night where 2 people come along and do 2 dances. I would definatly not recommend this hotel as we were not put in the rooms we payed for and the hotel were not bothered, they said it was a very busy time for them and they were over booked, we all ended up sharing one room!!!

The hotel was advertised as being in Chania, but that was a 35 euro taxi ride away.
The hotel itself was clean, pool was lovely, but not much else going for this hotel.
Sea view we were promised, if I had a step ladder and a good pair of binoculars, I may have seen the view.
The food was adequate, but repetitive. For a 3/4 star rating, the waiters wore jeans and trainers! and very slow to take away your plates etc. All inclusive was a poor show. Evening drinks self served and in plastic cups, which blew over in the ever present breeze and spilled the contents all over you! My husband took glasses off the bar to put our drinks in and was told off! the all inclusive drinks were only beer and ready made cocktails, weird concoctions which made made you sick.
The local area is very under developed. The beach looked nice, but was very gritty/stoney. I would never have let a child bathe in this sea as it was always very rough and went deep very quickly.
We did not mind that there was no entertainment as we never expected any. I cannot say it was a very bad holiday, as we are the type of people who make the most of any situation.
The holiday was not as expensive as previous all inclusive packages we have been on . It was a quiet holiday. Not all disastrous, but we were glad we were only there for one week, and actually felt sorry for the people staying for 2 weeks. I would not recommend this hotel.

My wife and I have just returned from Chrispy Superior Rapaniana Crete 26th June 2007.
If you are still in the land of the living this hotel is not for you. We booked all inclusive in what they describe as a brand new 5 star hotel.
On our arrival we were placed in a lower class room than what we had paid for but we sorted that out the following day.
My wife and I went to the bar and asked for two drinks to be told that we would have to pay for them. I explained that we were all inclusive and understood that our drinks were included and said I'll have a local vodka. The barman said I would still have to pay as the local vodka was not included either and that it would cost 3 euros a shot (local supermarket 12 euros a litre bottle of smirnoff).
You had to pay for all the facilities in the hotel. Tennis 7 euros. sauna 7 euros. Jacuzzi which was part of the swimming pool 9 euros for 10 minutes. You could swim in the pool for free.
The bar closed at 11pm. At 1120-30 pm the night security man came on duty who propmtly walked around to people who were just sat talking telling them to keep quiet. It was of great amusment to see him being chased by a brummy back into the hotel telling him he was on holiday. This hotel has more in common with a funeral directors chapel of rest than a holiday hotel. I am 60 years old but I'm not dead yet.
When we were placed in the accommodation that we had paid for we were quite happy as it was new it had a new flat screened tele but it did not work. My wife told the reception the tv does not work.Ok we'll get it fixed. She did this every day for the first week after that she gave up the tv was still not working when we left.
The food was the same day in day out thankfully there were tavernas a short walk away.
I felt sorry for the hotel staff even though they were discourteous as thay must have had the same complaints day in day out. There was no entertainment of any discription the two weeks we were there.
The groundsman would turn the water sprays on every evening at dinner time so you had a shower every evening on your way to dinner.
