We stayed here 24/5/2011 to 7/6/2011 and LOVED it!
It has 15 apartments split (I think) between 10 in the main building and 5 in a separate villa approx. 100 yards away.
We stayed in the villa in a 2 bedroom apartment.
Our room was at the front and it had a front sea view and great side views along the bay towards Chania. It gets early morning sun.
The balcony was massive, you could have probably fit half a dozen sunbeds on it as well as the marble topped table and 4 chairs.
It was about 20 x 10 with a further wide path that led up from the entrance steps. It was very private and not overlooked.
A central entrance led into a kitchen with a table, fridge, combi microwave/oven and 2 ring hob.
There seemed to be plenty of plates, cutlery & pans and a kettle and coffee-maker.
The bedrooms were on each side of the kitchen, both had a wardrobe, large chest of drawers and 2 bedside cabinets.
It’s one of the few places we’ve stayed where there was more than enough drawer space.
The best bedroom had patio doors onto the large balcony plus a side window with views of Chania.
It also had a small safe deposit box which cost a reasonable 10 per week.
The bathroom was clean with a half bath and shower curtain so probably the only place we’ve stayed in Greece where the bathroom floor didn’t get wet through.
There was always more than enough hot water and good water pressure.
We found the rooms very quiet, no road noise at all.
Bedding/towels were changed twice a week, with the loo bin being emptied 4 times a week (I think they missed Tues/Wed and Sunday).
They also provide loo rolls which in our experience is unusual for self-catering accommodation.
There is a supermarket next door which was cheaper than one we found on the main road so definitely worth using.
They have fresh bread daily.
The main apartments have a pool and pool bar.
It was very clean and Lefteris, who runs the bar keeps it clean, mopping the area regularly.
Lefteris is one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet; nothing is too much trouble to him.
They do a BBQ on Saturdays, the first week we were there it was cancelled as the weather wasn’t too great and the 2nd week we’d already planned to eat in Chania but by all accounts, it’s well worth the 15 per person.
We never struggled to get a sunbed, regardless of what time we went to the pool and there didn’t seem to be anyone getting up early to bag your sunbed which was nice.
It was about a 5-10 minute walk down to the main road and across to the beach.
There’s a bus stop right at the bottom of the road.
We found the location to be perfect for us, close to the old village where there are some really good tavernas.
We’d most definitely choose to stay here again, in fact I’ve already been looking.

The Merabello was a true delight and we had absolutely no complaints about any aspect of our holiday except the poor weather!
On arrival we were allocated to a wonderfully spacious apartment (no. 2) on the second floor and this came with its own lovely balcony complete with a fantastic sea view and also one of the spotlessly clean swimming pool below. The complex is ideally situated just a short walk away from both the lovely beach and the main area of the resort and with a bus stop no more than 400 yards away the rest of Crete was easily accessible also.
The staff at the apartments are predominantly family members and the sons of the elderly current owner all speak excellent english and are extremely obliging with nothing being too much trouble (the old man himself doesnt speak english and can come across as a bit of a grumpy eccentric but he is harmless and isnt there an awful lot). Our room was cleaned almost daily with fresh bedlinen and towels every 3/4 days so again this made sure everywhere was kepy spotlessly clean. The kitchenette was a bit basic but perfectly adequate for your needs so again this can't be construed as a negative aspect.
Our rep was also extremely friendly and knowledgeable and was on hand 5 days out of 7 should you need to speak to anyone. Suffice it to say we absoltely loved the Mirabello and everything about it and will almost certainly make a return visit in the very near future.

We stayed at the Merabello appartments for a week in August 2006. We had a fantastic time.
The apartment (we had room 9 I think), was on the top floor with a lovely view of the sea. This came as a great suprise as we were not expecting this. The appartments are for Olympic guests only I think. It was very peaceful. T
he reps came every day but did not hassle you at all and we hardly ever spoke to them. The room was spacious with a balcony, the kitchen equipment was basic but you excpect this.
The apartments are up a hill but even in the heat this was not aproblem. There are plenty of places to eat and drink locally. We didnt see much of the resort itself as we hired a car and went out every day.
We would go there again without a doubt.
