Arriving late afternoon, hotel around 40 minutes from the airport depending on drop offs, reception and check in was very quick and easy, Explained the routine and shown to the rooms, staff are so laid back, it’s unbelievable, in a friendly way. The room we were in was in the block above the Snack bar. First impressions was a light airy large room, air conditioning free, Fridge (empty), no kettle for hot drinks, bathroom well maintained and clean, make sure you take a bath plug just in case! Towels are changed 3 times a week, this includes your first night, no room service on a Sunday, No waistbands to wear, which is a good thing, All drinks that are A/I is help yourself, wine beers and soft drinks from the pull 2 spirits (ouzo, raki and brandy) from the bottle at the end of the counter, anything else you pay for. Bar staff keep the place clean and tidy collecting empties etc, so you know what you are getting A/I.
Snack bar good choice of sandwiches, sweets, nibbles etc. from 10:00am to 6:00pm, main restaurant most people sat outside, never no queuing or waiting for tables, again staff keep all tables cleaned quickly, you will soon fall into a routine tables are not set, so you collect your own cutlery napkins etc, drinks from the side, place on table and collect your food, good choice of all types don’t except dear cuts of meat, think rabbit etc, plenty to fill you but does repeat each meal, Used the microwave a lot just to warm up the food, enough said, There is a grill each night but the chef tends to overcook the meat, just ask for some off the griddle before he puts it on the serving trays, this served me well as I like all meats including chicken medium rare.
Breakfast it is possible to get full English, i.e. bacon, eggs, beans sausage etc., and again popped into the microwave topped with HP sauce, but there is a full choice of fruit, salads, sweets etc, not sure why chips were served with breakfast.
Entertainment is very low key to none, so take some board games, cards etc., consisted of quiz night international karaoke, poker night, and bingo all in the snack bar. This is the main area on a night time; there is Wi-Fi at 2 euros an hour or computers for 3 euros an hour.
Mini market is 100 yards to the right of the hotel and there is one next door in the Nana Beach hotel, plus an ATM cash machine.
2 pools both salt water, big pool mainly with families so there is noise through the day, plus pool games, no life attendant in place so be careful with small ones.
Going out its either to Stallis or Hersonissos 2.5 k either way used taxis which were around 8 euros or you could walk, beach area is very good but belongs to the Nana beach hotel who will charge you 15 euros a day for 2 sunbeds and umbrella, worth a walk around the nana beach hotel to see the different in price, and how the staff dress, think of a scene from the titanic, (navel uniforms all ranks).
Overall a great hotel for a chilled out relaxing break, plenty to eat and drink mixing with all nationalities ( English 10%), if you want action and hassle go next door, definitely on my list to go back at the price we paid. Booked for May 2013.

Rooms were available as soon as we arrived, and were spotless. The Arminda is an all inclusive hotel, and although there is plenty of choice, after a while it becomes repetitive.
The drinks are all self serve, wine, beer, and local fare. If you fancy a change you have to pay.The hotel is very clean, and rooms are cleaned every day, with fresh towels every couple of days.
Two nice pools, and a kiddies pool. The staff here are helpful, and any little problem, they sorted out quickly.
The entertainment is very low key, just a kids club and that was in German.
