I went to this hotel, we landed very early we all had jet lag, as soon as we walked in some nice woman came and carried our bags to our doors, fair enough. I stayed there for 7 days, food wasn't great..something id quickly prepare at home for a snack, customer service was very bad, so awful! A man called George is so rude. I'm not the one to complain its only to sleep but there was ants all over the floor, ants in the fridge couldn't walk anywhere ants in the bed..vile! I was so glad to leave! I will never go back there ever again, and I recommend you don't! Especially if you have kids, some little kid had chips and went to get tomato sauce and they shouted at her for using "too much sauce" hotel is very dirty don't get clean towels everyday, do not go here!!!

I have to admit that we were a little worried about visiting these apartments due to all of the awful reviews that we had read online, but I have to say that we needn't have worried at all!!
We have just returned after two weeks at Petros Village Apartments and we had a fantastic time. The apartments were basic but thats what you expect in Greece, most importantly they were clean and tidy and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful!
We didn't have air-conditioning in our apartment but we hired a fan for 10 euros per week which was a god-send as it turned out to be over 40 degrees most days although there was a constant breeze which made it bearable. We visited Hersonissos most evenings but we also went into Malia, Stalis and Heraklion, buses stop every half an hour right outside the main gate of Petros Village, it cost us 1 euro each to go to Hersonissos, 1.70 euros each to go to Heraklion and about the same to go to Malia, the only drawback that we found was that the last bus returns from Hersonissos at 23.15 but a taxi only costs 6 euros regardless of what time you return!
It's only a 10 minute walk to the nearest town (Analipsi) which has a lovely beach (6 euros for 2 sunbeds & a parasol for the whole day inc use of toilet/shower etc) there is also a vast selection of tavernas and restaurants in Analipsi but our personal favourite was 'The Poseidon', they cater for all tastes at very reasonable prices, very friendly staff!! If you're looking for a lively night out then Hersonissos is the place to go all the pubs and clubs have a permanent 'Happy Hour' & 'BOGOFF' offers on cocktails etc and once again there are numerous gorgeous restaurants thats overlook the sea and they all cater for everyone!!
We also did various excursions including Samaria Gorge (18km trek which is extremely hard work but well worth it) & WaterCity, this is a great place for swimmers and non-swimmers, I personally cannot swim and I still had a fab time! All in all we had a wonderful time and I would recommend Petros Village & Crete in general to anyone regardless of whether you just want to relax or party, party, party!!
We would go back tomorrow if we could!! Hope this review helps!
