I have just spent a wonderful week with my partner at the Petra Village Apartments. Having seen some of the recent reviews which were less than favourable, we were feeling a little apprehensive and were starting to wonder whether we had made the right choice. We now know that we had no reason to worry. When we arrived and saw the accommodation we felt hugely relieved and knew it was going to be just fine! The apartment itself was clean and well equipped with a small balcony giving (distant) sea views. Maid service was every other day and, in addition to bin emptying and providing clean towels, this included doing our washing up, which was most welcome!
We were in Block E - the 5th block back from the road - which was a minor trek up the hill but not a problem except possibly for the elderly and infirm. The staff were polite and extremely helpful...once we realised that reception was not always manned and you sometimes had to go to the bar to obtain assistance.
The pool was not large but adequate and clean and there were plenty of sun loungers available at all times. However, there was a definite lack of parasols which were not broken: there only appeared to be 3 working. There was a bar in the pool area which sold a very limited range of food and somewhat expensive drinks... 2 likely reasons why in the evenings it was never very busy. The village of Koutouloufari, an easy walk away, was by far the better option...

Very friendly apartments separated into blocks A-F (F being furthest up the hill and furthest from the pool). We were in C3 and D3. Cleaners were very friendly and entertained baby every time they visited, daily to clean and every other day to change towels etc. The owners supplied us with a cot and high chair which were a godsend. 5 minutes walk into resort.
