The Hotel Malia Park is a superb hotel just outside the resort of Malia, you have the best of both worlds, it's near enough to enjoy the nightlife but far enough away to relax. We stayed in a garden room which was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was controlled individually. The food choice was amazing and the food delicious with chef demos every night. There was a choice of eating inside or out. The swimming pools were excellent with a pool to suit all swimming abilities in beautiful surroundings. There were plenty of sunbeds, whatever the time of day in the sun or in the shade. The hotel also has its own beach with free sunbeds which was really handy. The gardens were beautiful. This is a lovely hotel which we would not hesitate to reccomend.

The hotel was well maintained. The main public areas were spotless. Yet the staff were totally unobtrusive.
The choice and quality of food was remarkable, with every taste catered for.
The hotel is situated more than a gentle stroll from town. While the ambience of the grounds were delightful, it would have been nice to have been able to walk after dinner.
The staff, at all levels, were genuinely friendly, and spoke the language of their guest well, (german, english, french etc).
The evening entertainments were a great surpise, which we really enjoyed.
The 'cretan evening' was particularly good.
Definately, a place to return to.

having just got back from honeymoon we would like to say what an excellent choice we made.the hotel is well run, spotlessley clean with beautiful gardens and pool areas.despite going in august the extensive grounds gave the feeling of spaciousness and exclusivity.all the staff were very friendly and obliging at all times.the food was varied and plentiful attention to presentation being wonderful.animation team worked endlessley day and evening for children and adults alike.the professional shows were well presented and the setting around pool area was relaxing.we would not hesitate to return again to this hotel in future years.

We're just back from an excellent holiday at the Cretan Malia Park so I shall sum up the main points about the hotel.
Location - on the eastern outskirts of Malia so well away from the lager louts. A couple of bars and tavernas nearby and also 2 supermarkets for buying water, beer, etc. 25 mins walk or 5 mins in a taxi into centre of Malia.
Hotel - very clean and tidy with well-maitained and spotless public areas.
Room - we had a room in a garden bungalow which was fairly big, well furnished and had A/C. Room was cleaned daily and clean towels were provided as and when required. 2 towels for beach/pool use were also provided free of charge.
Food - Excellent choice at both breakfast and evening meal buffets. There is also an a la carte restaurant which has speciality nights at extra (reasonable) cost, there is also a poolside bar, a beach snackbar and the Pergola restaurant which provide food during the day at reasonable prices.
Staff - geniuely friendly and majority of them speak very good English. Stahis the barman is a great character with an excellent memory for names, faces and what you drink.
Gardens - beautifully kept and well maintained gardens with two lovely pools one of which, the river pool, is a designated relaxtion pool so, in theory, no ball games, lilos, etc.
Beach - the hotel has its own small stretch of beach with free sunbeds and umbrellas. There was also a lifeguard on duty and the beach has a 'Blue Flag'
Entertainment - various things during the day - beach volleyball, petanque, water polo and a kids club all orgainised by the hotel's own animation team. Entertainment in the evening also varied, some by animation team and some by professional entertainers. We paticularly enjoyed the Greek night.
All in all we had a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday at the Cretan Malia Park and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending it anyone.
