After reading many reviews, before we went on our first girls' holiday we were wary about what we would be faced with once we got to our accomodation. Upon arrival we discovered that the reviews were WRONG and although basic apartment ( number 6) it had all the essentials and was clean enough to a basic standard. The people and the staff were very friendly and a joy to be around for the holiday. Nefeli is located right next to the strip, it is a energetic party atmosphere, but when it is time for bobos there was no difficulty in getting a few hours sleep as staff and neighbours are respectful of each other.
This review has come from Lucy Morris and Natalie Renshaw from North Wales that ventured to Malia for our first holiday with our friends. We thrived in Malia and hope to return for 2015 and aim to stay in Nefeli again. The main aim of this review is to inform people that Nefeli has since improved since older reviews dating back to 07'. As long as you're not expecting a 5* luxury holiday then i would throughly recommend Malia, and this particular accomodation.

Hotel tip: The best rooms to stay are typically the ones that are located nearer the strip. Like Nefeli for example. It was 2 minutes from the night life but when you wanted to recover it was also out of the way, sharing a personal swimming pool with neighbouring ho

No doubt the Nefeli was once an ideal place to holiday - 10 mins from the beach and resort, "secluded" area.
But time has taken its toll and the Nefeli is now well beyond its sell by date. S/C in Greece has improved over the years where showers/rooms, hot water, beds have become acceptable considering the price that was once paid. Unfortunately the Nefeli is not in this category.
In saying that, the staff are friendly and helpful and the pool and pool area are top rate.
The Libra holiday brochure said rooms with balcony - but two don't have them. In the one we had there was no table/chairs, decent food work area, which meant that we had to eat from plates on our lap whilest sat on the bed.
However the real biggy is the access road to the National Road that runs next to the Nefeli. This is horrendously noisy 24/7.
