Milatos is the most boring place I have ever visited and I never intend to return again.
They also mention that there is a beach? Mis-advertisment! There is no beach (unless you want to walk for an hour).

Miles from anywhere which wouldn't have been a problem if the hotel was any good.

The harbour of Milatos is mainly suited to couples and older generation there are only about 5 - 6 tavernas all seem to be fairly competetivley priced and friendly. The food's not bad either nearest cash point is in Sissi which is about an hours walk or 10 mins in taxi for 11 euros each way
Beach is mainly large pebbles but harbour is pleasant and can be swum in as it is fairly sandy but probably man made
If you want to taste superb greek cuisine then hire a car and go to Malia to La Creta owned by George tell him you know the mad lawyer from London and you'll get a good discount!!
I would say that is the only reason to go to Malia as it is mainly for teenagers siimilar to Kavos Falaraki and Kardemena

Milatos is a very small fishing village far removed from the hustle and bustle of other Crete resorts there is only one bar called the No Name bar but it does have sky ect.. and serves good food all day. There are half a dozen restaurants/tavernas which will cater for most needs but that is it, wonderful if you are looking for a stress free relaxing holiday. You can get to a nearby resort called Sissi by taxi (12 euros) or local bus but that only runs once a day. Sissi is more built up and has a lot more bars ect.. You can walk it but it will take you about an hour and a half on a not to clever mountain road. All in all everything is great here if you want a quiet stay

There was not much to do in the evening in Milatos but that was what we were looking for the beach was pebbly but again the panoramic views made it worthwhile visiting

The resort itself was very clean and relaxing, it had quite a few restuarants to choose from, we recommend 'No Stress'.
Not much of a sandy beach, it was in the marina itself but enough sand to entertain a four year old. The rest of the seafront was pebbley.
We would recoomend the Angelika aparthotel for a thoroughly relaxing holiday. We had a great holiday there and would definately go back again.

Very small beach, but very quiet, which was great, plenty of rock pools to explore for the kids and adults alike.
Some lovely fish restaurants, and a great bar on the sea front, the bar No Name, brilliant place, lovely staff.
