This was our second stay at the Lesse hotel having stayed May/June 2005 also.
The hotel is lovely and the swimming pools are so nicely designed.
The staff are nice especially George who works at the pool bar and restaurant.
The only problem we had was on our second week we had some scottish birds above our apartment and as well as clog dancing /tap dancing on our celing (not very well insulated)in the middle of the night in their high heels they slammed their door at 3am and 5am(thoughtless!!)
Adults who hate kids should also bear in mind this is a family hotel with a kids pool and play area and not sit round the pool area face pulling at kids having fun!
You are allowed a tab at the hotel pool bar as long as you pay it before you leave of course!
We Departed from Gatwick this year not manchester as there was a price difference of &1400! (not joking)
The hotel held a farewell barbeque meal for about 8 Euro's per adult and 5 for kids (over 5 years) which was good value.Even though they did me pasta (veggie) there was plenty of choice anyway without this.
Challenge George and John to a game of table tennis as they are always up for it.
We ate out during our stay as we were sc there are lots of good restaurants,We liked the amethystos (who remembered us from the year earlier) they are great with the kids and the kids meals are good and cheap.
We also ate a lot at the Gusto Italian in the main square which was good value for money too.
Some of the other restaurants are a bit dodgy and bring out bread in a basket which you asume to be complimentary, beware you will probably be charged for this.
There is a back gate behind Block B where you can walk down a dirt track to the beach or town, also if you turn right at the bottom and walk on the back road for about 25 mins it takes you into Pefkohori which is nice with a promenade shops and restaurants.
Polichrono however was nice but a killer of a walk probably 1hr 30 to 2 hrs so go by taxi or bus.
Dont bother taking towels as you can buy towels in the market place for 5 Euro's also take some Jelly shoes or aqua shoes if you want to do the beach as it is hard on your feet.
You can also buy Snorkel Equipment and flippers in the market place cheaply enough.
Also if you have too many hangers at home take them with you and leave them in the hotel wardrobes which are always short.
If you are going with First Choice book the pirate ship day out (great day out).
Pearl is the rep this season as Gemma has now gone to rhodes. Pearl is nice too.
Beware it does get very hot at times it was in the 30s most of the time.

We have recently returned from a two week holiday in Hanioti, Halkidiki.
The Lesse hotel was stunning, the staff were very friendly and the rooms were lovely. Having stayed in Hanioti previously, we knew the area quite well, nothing much has changed. George the barman was very friendly and made us all feel very welcome. I cannot comment on the hotel food as we did not dine there.
We went last week August, first week September, the weather was lovely the first week but overcast nearly all day during the second week, take a jacket for evening as it was rather chilly!!!
The pool area is gorgeous and the pool bar is lovely. The water in the pool was cold enough to give you hyperthermia as the water flows like a stream.
The hotel lounge, reception area and bar are all very stylish in decor, with wonderful vases filled with exotic flowers.
Overall the holiday was great and would recommend Hanioti and highly recommend the Lesse hotel/studios!
There is no entertainment in the hotel, not even a Greek night which was a little disappointing.

Just returned from a two week holiday in hanioti staying at the lesse hotel. The hotel was exactly as it looked in the brochure...we couldnt fault it in any way. The hotel rooms, although basic, were much nicer than we expected, and completely clean as the maids came in every day.
All the staff were very friendly (if not a bit too friendly...look out for the horny barman george!!!)and were happy to help, as was our rep Gemma. The pool area was also lovely-and there was no rush for sunbeds in the morning-even if we got up late morning there were always plenty.
Hanioti town itself was excellent, with a good selection of restuarants and bars...but as three 18year old girls we found it a bit quiet. Especially as the brouchure said, and i quote!:'Hanioti is a lively resort with plenty of bars and clubs'! There was ONE club, which we went to twice before realising that a box size room full of greeks and a dodgy dj was not really what we had in mind. However, we soon found some really good bars which had good music, a dance floor, and were open till 7.00am most nights-so we never got bored.
I would say the best bars in Hanioti are Kavos, Kelfos and Long Island. If you are an orlando bloom fan, or in fact, if you are female, then you should DEFINATELY pay a visit to long Island bar as the barman looks exactly like him but better!!!mmmmmmm. Theres some really good restuarants....the Kassandra Roof Garden and the fish tavern with blue sign (i cant remember the name!), and Anatols were all excellent.
For any young girls travelling without parents or big rugby player type people...i would strongly reccommend carrying a baseball bat or some pepper spray at all times. The walk home from hanioti is very poorly lit and it is quite un-nerving when a car or white van pull up beside you in the street and open the doors so they can shout things in greek at you!! To them it is probably just being friendly, but we weren't impressed.
The stray dogs that also tend to follow people home are completely harmless...we actually got quite attached! look out for cowdog.
We would definately reccomend going on the Pirate ship cruise-it was very cheesy but very fun! Pirate pete is a bit ropey, but very entertaining, and the reps were a good laugh aswell.
The hotel is about 5 minutes from the beach, which is definately worth visiting. It is a bit stoney in places, but its very clean and has some good watersports!! Just watch out for the african guys selling CDs-they get a bit stropey if you dont want to buy anything!!!
Overall, we had an amazing time, met some great people and would definately go back in the future.

We went to the Lesse on 20th May 2004 for 7 nights and this was the 2nd week of the Lesse being open to the public.
The reception - (albeit a little small) as something really special.
To the left of the reception area is the bar and very posh lounge with it's brand new leather sofas and mahogany coffee tables and tv.
The hotel is a brand new building. The room we stayed in was A308 which was on the top floor. Nowhere in the building does the building boast a lift of any description, so families with small children pushchairs and the elderly - beware.
The room itself was clean tidy and I think in our case, never used. The hotel provides in each room a fridge (with a small freezer compartment) a kettle, toaster crockery and cutlery for 3 people and a tv. Room service is proved 3 times a week.
All rooms are air-conditioned and decorated basiccally but I have to say tastefully. Your key ring has a round end to it. As you walk in the room, to your left is a circular slot for that end of your key ring to fit into. This controls you electricy and air-con. My advise is to unscrew the end of the key ring and leave it (with its magnet)permanently in this socket then you don't come back to hot rooms at the end of very hot days.
Our room was dark green and mahogany.
All rooms also have a balcony and relevant furniture which firstly overlook some wasteground, and then the lovely sea.
There is an onsite shop which is limited, but you don't need to shop around to compare prices as all of shops sell general items as very much the same prices. Ciggies are
