We went here on a cheap deal off of the Internet. Hotel is located about a mile outside the main resort right on the beach and is part of a group of 3 hotels on the same site (Panini Beach & Athos) and you would be sited in the small horseshoe shape of villas.
The rooms have air con and ours had a double and a single with a fridge. You should pay extra for the fridge but we did not get charged. We were told that the rooms were being redecorated at the end of October, as they are looking a little tired, but nice and clean.
You have 3 pools to choose from the various hotels, one which is a huge Olympic size pool, another with a swim up pool bar, which went spent one afternoon getting slaughtered on cocktails!
It is right on the beach but beware, although the hotel policy is no reserving of beds you will have to be up early to get a free sun shade and bed on the beach to beat the other European nationalities who are in the majority!. No such trouble around the pools where beds are always available. The beach is fine shingle and the water is clear and worth spending some time with a snorkel. Some guests were commenting that both Dolphins and turtles were seen from the beach and surrounding bars.
There is really no need to stray far from the hotel - to be honest you have all you need here.
The food is great - we have stayed at some pretty cheap AI but this was excellent. You can eat in 3 restaurants, one of which is the Italian (reserve in advance). The salad bars selection was huge, and then you have the main courses with all types of choice catered for. Lamb in lemon, pork in apricots, souvalaki, Spag Bol - the list is endless!.
They also have fresh baked bread, soups, sweets and fresh fruit. The majority of the fresh produce is grown on their own farm locally and it tastes great! No one complained about the food, apart from the weight everyone gained whilst there.
Drink is local, range of cocktails and Lowenbrau is the beer on tap. Omitting the fact that you have to buy after 12pm, no complaints here either!
We had no problems with hotel staff, they were all friendly, a lot are east Europeans who are fine.
You can't have everything and though the magician and 60's night was good the entertainment is poor, although they do try the hardest during both the day and night. Still if you want a laugh and have had a few drinks, good food and good company it
