We originally were booked to stay at the Sani beach club but were fortunate enough to upgrade to Porto sani village and wow was it worth it.
We were celebrating our 5th anniversary with an 18 month old so we wanted luxury and friendliness - did we get it. The resort staff can not do enough for you.
Our typical day was an 8am breakfast at the restaurant which caters great for everyone - we are vegetarian and we had no complaints. Then we'd take a walk around the beach and then to the wonderful beach. As this is an ecological resort there is seaweed on the beach but this is just ideal for al the little fishes my daughter could see in the clear shallow water.
Id definitely recommends this place to anyone looking to stay in a resort and relax. The restaurants are amazing - every single one, yes NTomata has THE best desserts ever but one is really spoilt for choice. There wre quite a few honeymooners here as well who loved it.
I was bitten by mosquitoes but I used repellent on my daughter and she was fine so don

I was really happy that I will visit Sany Porto village, becouse I owed to my family some fun. I work 6 days a week and I am most of the time at work ( my job is restaurant manager of 3 restaurants)And as one can imagine I was trully impressed by the hotel cleanleness, service, food, and well organized operation.
The only thing was the location which is not at he beach, but behind the marina, but as it was May I did not really consider it as a problem.
But the reason that I write this review is the fact that my daughter (7yrs) was not alloud to swim in the inside swiming pool. Even I tried to explain the hotel manager that this is one of the main resons to come to the hotel, he did not show flexibility to reserve even 1 hour term in which we could use that facility with my daughter. He kindly explained that the inside pool is part of the spa and that their policy is not to allow children inside. The dissapointment was greater when I visited the pool and noticed that it is located next to the spa and have separete entrance.
Working in hospitality industry myself I tried to be very polite in explaining him that he can show flexibility in many ways but he sticked to the procedure and did not find a way to solve this issue. I also explained him that when I was making my reservation I specifically asked if there is a inside pool, and that the receptionist did not mention this policy at that time even he knew that we are coming with child.
Other then that it is a great place and I can recomend it to my friends, but please do not advertise it as children friendly.

The hotel was luxurious in every aspect and the staff extremely professional but also friendly. We were immediately assured that the hotel was child friendly (our children age 3 and 1)and indeed it was - and with no sacrifice to the high standards.
However I definitely feel that too much mischief/noise/energy would be frowned upon by other guests.
Mealtimes are quite formal with silver service even for the toddlers! One piece of advice is that when you go for breakfast make sure at that point you book your table for dinner as by midday all the sittings are taken. If this happens you can obtain vouchers from reception to use in many of the restaurants by the marina; lots of choice and very good standard but make sure you tell the waiter that you have these vouchers before you order as they may need to offer you a set menu.
The pool area was great. Quiet with plenty of space and loungers, free towels and toys ie buckets, watering cans etc for the kids.
We had a suite which had a separate bedroom with a huge bed and tons of wardrobe space, a kitchenette with a microwave. Our saviour was the DVD player and the hiring of popular DVDs from reception, great for when we wanted to get ready for the evening.
Lovely five min walk past marina (no roads to cross at all)to access fab private beach.
You can order drinks and food at the beach which is lovely and charge it to your room. This can be expensive though, as you would imagine.
Only minor snag was the shortage of a reasonably priced brasserie/cafe for a light lunch or sandwich. But there is a supermarket and ice cream parlour by marina.
No evening entertainment to speak of - just a pianist in the bar. And a children's play area would be a huge bonus.
All in all a lovely, luxurious hotel which i strongly recommend.

We loved this hotel. It is perfect for a lie in the sun type holiday.
Very luxurious and the best pool I have seen - five or so interconnecting areas, starting very shallow and getting deeper, so very safe for small children.
For 5 of us we had 2 bedrooms plus a living area with sofabed, 2 bathrooms and kitchenettes - so 3 separate sleeping areas which was a great help.
Greek Canadian manager was very professional but also great fun, and it was extremely child friendly.
The marina was also lovely and it was good to have a choice of restaurants.
Low key entertainment suited us fine.
