Resort quite new with a lot of developing, widespread and unless you are 200% fit a car is a good idea.

Some lovely restaurants nearby and a short walk up the beach is a picturesqe but isolated fish restaurant. Very peaceful and the although we were self catering our apartment was cleaned to a very high standard every day. The local supermarket is around a 7-9 minute walk away but stocked all the essentials. We hired a car and explored the island which is beautiful and well worth a look.
All in all, this was my first experience of Greece and I had mixed veiws before going after being told how basic everything was, however, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, resort or Kefalonia.

If you are looking for a quiet holiday, this is the place to go. Its a few minutes walk down a VERY steep hill to the village centre where there are 2 shops, 2 car hire places and a few scattered tavernas.
The Kosmar brochure claimed that the beach was a 20 minute walk away from the apartments, but that was probably if you were a speed walker. It was more like a leasurely 35 minutes walk.
Lordas beach had tavernas along but the beach itself was OK. In the opposite direction Trapezaki beach was better, cleaner sand and wider.
No resort entertainment, more a location for couples or families.
