Wonderful hotel!
Stayed here for 2 weeks in a self catering apartment. Ground floor room with a side view of the sea and a spacious terrace set in the grounds. The hotel is a small family run concern and their pride in providing a relaxing comfortable holiday is very obvious. The building is spotless and the gardens well maintained and loved. The owners and their family are visible and sort out any niggles straight away. This is not the place to go if you want 24 hour reception and room service but you can always find someone to help you, be it book a taxi or get another chair for the terrace.
Air c o n was effective and worth it at 40 euro a week.Towels and linen are changed twice weekly but if you wanted you could pay a small supplement for a daily change, Safe was around 18 euro.
The room was a fair size with comfortable beds and a large bathroom with a powerful shower (for Greece) and twin sinks. Plenty of hot water whatever time you showered. Bathroom was more of a wetroom and could get a bit slippery but not an issue for us.
Although self catering I never "catered". I think if you intended to cook it could be a bit small and equipment limited but there is a kettle, toaster and full sized fridge which was all we needed.
The hotel provides breakfast if wanted ranging from "buffet" to full english. Tried it once and it was very good
There is an extensive snack menu served until around 5pm , all the usual stuff, rolls, toasties, salads, pizzas plus a good range of Greek food freshly made and huge portions.
The location is fabulous, 10 minutes easy walk from the centre of Skala ( there is a bit of a hill once you reach the village but a minute further along there are steps if needed)
The hotel has a reasonable size infinity swimming pool overlooking the sea and a smaller pool which is also a Jacuzzi.Sunbeds are new, comfortable and in sufficient quantity - we could get 3 together at any time. Nice big parasols
Beach is pebble / shingle and shelves quickly. Good snorkeling. The sea taxi and glass bottom boat stop directly in front of the Anassa.
All staff were friendly and seemed to share the same love and commitment shown by the owners, from the cleaners to the young girl who works in the snack bar, always smiling.
On arrival you are taken to the bar for a drink of your choice and a relax before being taken to your room.
We tried many cocktail bars in Skala BUT the best cocktails were made by Hercules who runs the bar, The BEST Margaritas I have had without a doubt, expertly served by Linda. Thank you - very generous !!
I have scored entertainment as a 5 but to be honest we only stayed in for the BBQ/ Greek night which was great fun. They do offer other entertainment including a big screen poolside for films/ football and music evenings.
There is Internet access available in reception. We bought 24 hrs worth for 10 euro - well worth it. There are 2 PCs and my girls never had any issue in accessing. There is a flat screen tv in the bedrooms with some UK channels.
So, if you want a peaceful hotel with friendly staff near a lively but not loud resort then this is the place for you.
I would return in a heartbeat !

The Hotel was spotless The rooms were lovely modern nice shower rooms
The rooms had hairdryers Tvs and the most comfortable huge bed I have ever had in Greece.
The rooms are sound proofed so lovely and peaceful The air con is 40 eurs a week but welll worth it!
The room was very private and no one could walk past.
The barbque night is great the greekdancers were lovely the staff worked so hard George Linda Effi Terri and Hercules all were on hand to make sure we all had a fantastic holiday.
The night of the fires was horrendous but all the staff turned it round so quickly and worked so hard to make sure we were all ok and everything back to normal.
The 2 nights a week singer is fab singing all the old songs everyone singing a long. He lost so much in the fire his cats were burned (hope there ok now) and I hope the ones that went missing are back safe x
He deserves a hell of a lot of support He is great and such a nice guy please go and support him and sing a long or even dance to his songs.
The pool area is superb lovely and clean with a Jucuzzi
the views are lovely!!
The Hotel is so relaxing a peaceful noise and inflatables at the pool were not tolerated which was lovely as it was so quiet and tranquil it caters for older couples there were a few children there but they were all very well behaved!!
Definetly going back next year.
