Our apartments were overlooking a scrap yard, constant noise from dumping of scrap and loud music from their speaker. disgusting view, old fridges etc., men urinating against the wall, what a lovely view for a holiday!
We spent two weeks in this apartment and asked to be moved on arrival, and kept on asking, they promised they would move us on our second week but would not move us although we knew there were other apartments available on the other side of the hotel.
Would not go to this hotel again.

Having booked my holiday at Sophia Beach and subsequently reading reviews i was horrified and really nervous about visiting Kos however when our group actually got there (there were 10 of us) we were very pleasantly surprised. Michael was on the desk and the is the sweetest funniest man. Young sophia was also very nice and made an effort to speak to us as we came into the hotel and when we left throughout the day. If key is left at reception bedding and towels ARE changed regularly as are the bins emptied and floors cleaned.
Over all we had a great time which was felt by all and we would definetly book this hotel again.

The apartments were clean on arrival althoe the reception was left unattended on most occasions so security of keys etc were very poor. Our rooms view was of the local gypsy camp and it was a disgusting sight to see.

Well a super hotel close to beach and town, really very clean and tidy the manager and his wife were great, they could not do enough for us, maid service every 2 days and there was always a cleaner around chaning towels new loo rolls etc.
The pool was lovely but beware it is very shallow at the top end. By the end of the week george (the boss) joined in with us and was forever sending over free ozo, this was a great holiday and i will be going again next october (2009) remember treat them with resepct and they wont let you down. Had a one bedroom apartment, and a studio apartment. Air conditioning was not working in the studio apartment and in the one bedroomed apartment the staff kept switching it off. Fridge was also turned down causing milk to go off. Linen was supposed to be changed twice a week ours was changed twice in two weeks. Towels weren't changed regularly either. Cleaning in the apartments was nearly non existent, bathroom sink was not cleaned all the time there and the taps were covered in black. Self catering facilities were very poor too. As for the pool you can't even walk around it cause they have tried to cram in too many sun beds (so had to use the beach every day). Will not return to these apartments staff often didn't reply when spoken to (ie good morning etc).

Sophia Beach is in a quiet part of Lambi - 2 mins walk from the Shingle beach and 15-20 mins from Kos Town. There are 2 small supermarkets close by. The appartments are spacious and with Air Conditioning. There is maid service but as the hotel is near the beach, its hot and dusty so my advice is to take a washing up sponge/scourer so you can properly clean the kitchen utensils before you use them.
Pool area is small and can get busy in the afternoons when the beach gets too hot.
I have seen some bad reviews for this hotel - I can't undestand these - it was a great holiday

We had two large one bedroom apartments. They had every thing we needed. The aircon worked very well. They were cleaned every day.
The hotel was kept very clean and so was the pool and bar area. The snack bar served good home cooked snacks at fair prices. A shop on site also stocked essential items at good prices. The pool got busy in the afternoon, but every one was very friendly and the children all made friends.
The hotel is very very near the beach. Lots of good restaurants a stones throw away. A 15min walk into Kos town with shops and more restaurants.
The staff were great very friendly amd helpful. Any problems were sorted out double quick. The hotel is family run and i think this makes a difference.
They had a Greek night once a week which was fun.
I would use this hotel again and did use it two years running.
