A friend and I wanted single rooms but the travel agent suggested a studio apartment. This was great as it had a bedroom with a double and single bed, separate lounge with two single beds, kitchen, bathroom and a small patio/terrace.
We stayed all inclusive and the food was excellent - lots of local dishes but also plenty for the less adventurous. You will not go hungry. There are two main buffet restaurants the Macedonia II (international cuisine) and a Greek buffet restaurant called the Atrium. I think you are supposed to book a table at the Atrium in advance as we were turned away once, however we went in there several times without. You have to book the Chinese and Italian but they are part of the all inclusive package.
Breakfast is in two buffet restaurants and goes on until quite late. Then at 12:00 the buffet lunch starts! As well as lunch you can help yourself to ice cream and sandwiches. We never had a problem getting a drink from the two pool bars, main bar or the cocktail bar in the room where they have the events.
There were mostly families staying at the hotel and I can see why - lovely pool with slides, free ice cream, play area etc., I have kept the welcome letter detailing what is included in the all inclusive package and as there is too much to list. Only slight downside is the beach. There is a small area of sand but you have to pay a small amount to use the sunbeds. Rest of the beach is pebbles. Overall though I thought the place was great.

We arrived in Kos on September 11th for one week all inclusive at Kipriotis Village Hotel at 3am in the morning, could not wait to get to the room and have a cup of tea in our welcome pack which you would imagine you would get with a four star hotel, nothing was there, so I went to the reception to enquire about getting a kettle, I was told that one is not available, so I asked for a drink of water and was told that one was not available and I would have to wait until the morning.
In the morning whilst unpacking I found a dirty pair of mens pants in the wardrobe and I also stepped on a piece of broken glass. The curtains had all tears down one side, I reported all this to the rep where upon I spent all day Sunday going back and forth to the reception, I was told to be there at 2pm, where I waited and waited, then I was told 3.30, returned again and was then told after about half an hour to return at 6pm, this turned out to be 7.30 by the time I was offered another room.
Food, well the staff were so abrupt apart from one more mature gentleman with glasses who was always pleasant, the female waitresses were abrupt and extremely rude at times, we normally got our bottle of water as we were leaving, never with our meal! I did not think the food was upto a standard that I have received before. Not much to say about the food same most days, lived on pasta for a week, the sweets were nice, even though sometimes you could not get ice-cream as it was solid and could not be scooped out.
The only bar that you were able to get a drink in at night was more like a Butlins holiday camp, they did make an effort but it was very inexperienced and tacky.
We went into Kos town only once as it was full of Albanians and my partner was approached by a lady who offered her services to him!!!
Under no circumstances would I ever return to the Kipriotis Hotel and it has completely put me off ever going back to Kos. Other people have told me that they have had a wonderful holiday in Kos, but I absolutely hated everything about it, apart from the weather which was nice except for the wind.

The Kipriotis Village was superb - extremely well maintained, and excellent value for money on our particular package (all inclusive, from lasminute.com). The 5 pools available for use were superb, the staff (other than at meals) very professional and friendly, and the location a short bus/taxi from a host of sights/bars/restaurants etc in Kos Town. The historical interest there was a big surprise - massive castle, roman ruins, ancient relics etc. We tired of the All Inclusive dinners after a few days and ventured to town where the restaurants were awesome, and the bars fun. The hotel room was fine for retreating to, mostly we were at the pool or beach or bar, all of which made for a superb time and would definitely recommend the place. [p.s. the waitering staff are probably so grumpy cos they're treated so badly by the average snotty European holidaymaker.]

we booked this holiday at the last minute through teletext and flew with first choice on a half board basis we had looked through the reports and decided the hotel may have some faults ,but reading between the lines it was probably ok ,we were right.the hotel was very clean ,the food was excellent and of good quality , the hotel staff were a bit surly and did not seem that happy ,also for such a large hotel the entertainment was fairly poor , if they wanted to sell more drinks they will have to provide good entertainment and lower the price of drinks ie 3-50 euro for a330ml local beer the same for water . all in all a good hotel good accomadation good food but with a few problems, not worth brochure price ,look for a bargain

We went on an all inclusive basis, we were a bit worried as we had read some really bad reviews before going.
The place was lovely the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The food was out of this world, there was a huge selection (different every day) and I loved every meal that I had.
The hotel and grounds were very well kept & clean, the maid came every day to clean the room and make the beds.
The entertainment staff were very good, they put on a show every night. On Wednesday nights they hold a Greek night and the food an atmophere was superb. I will be going back next year!!
