Sunset View are located in a peaceful location on the outskirts of Parakia.
The views from the apartments are breathtaking and the sunsets we saw each night are stunning. Located at the top of a really steep hill so I personally would not recommend the apartments for people with walking difficulties until they use car hire. The walk down into the main town of Parakia takes about 15 - 20 mins all downhill, but coming back would take double that due to the first part of the walk which is a steady climb and the last part which is steep. Taxi's from the main resort up to the apartments cost 3 euros (as at July 05) and well worth the price!
Rooms are kept spotless and bedding, towels changed every other day. Basic two ring cooker and fridge in the room.
Note that Kosmar rooms do not have air con, however there is a really large powerful fan in the room, which kept us reasonably comfortable even through July's high temperatures.
Pool and all surrounding areas are well maintained and very clean, the staff (all family) very pleasant and helpful. You also have use of a jacuzzi/spa for a price of I think 10 euros, which must be booked through reception.
The apartments have a covered parking facility underneath the place, holding about ten cars and a few motor scooters.
Meals can be bought on site from the family run restaurant, bacon and egg highly recommended, many a year since I have tasted such nice eggs and bacon.
Some drinks could be pricey, typically hotel prices, however, we found beers to be very reasonably priced, much to hubbies delight at 2 euros for a large bottle, some bars in resort were charing 3-1/2 for a small one!
If it is permitted I would like to also say that our rep in resort Christina was very good and helpful too.
Can highly recommend these apartments for their cracking views, Greek hospitality at its best, and a peaceful nights sleep away from the hub-bub of the main town.
