We stayed at the Georgia apartments for two weeks.
It is a family run place, so every one was very friendly.
Even though we were self catering, the food was pretty cheap. We never had a bad meal all the time we were there. The rooms were kept spotless. The maid came in every day to change the bins, and the towels and bedding were changed twice a week.
The apartments are set on a hill so you get a lovely view all around you, although walking up the hill was a bit of a drag sometimes.
The staff were brilliant especially Lucas the son of the owner, and Panos the bar man. They made us feel like part of the family from day one.
There is not a lot of entertainment here except for the barbeque night on a Friday and bingo on a Tuesday.
Barbeque night is excellent you get your food first, and then they bring in a local Greek dancer who will get you all to join in the Greek dancing. Bingo night is also great fun because Lucas runs it, and over the years he has had all the bingo lingo off other holiday makers, and even though he speaks quite good English he does pronounce a lot of them wrongly which has every one in fits of laughter.
We are already planning our next holiday to this fantastic place.

Although this was a last minute booking, we knew the name of the accommodation and looked on the internet for other people's opinions. The web site indicated that the place was only a short way from both the beach, and Afandou itself - rubbish!! We timed the walk from Georgia to Afandou Beach (by the shortest route) and it took 25 minutes. The same is true of the walk into Afandou itself, also taking 25 minutes. The studio we had was barely bigger than our garage, and not much cleaner. The first thing my partner did, whilst I unpacked, was to sweep and mop the floor. Luckily we had arrived on a day flight, so we were able to get some immediate help with the bathroom drain, which overflowed sewage every time the washbasin was used, not to mention the "dining chair" which collapsed when my partner sat in it (and no, he is in no way overweight), or the light bulb missing from the main room light. Would we use this accommodation again? Absolutely never in this life.

When we first stepped off the coach I thought we had made a mistake, it seemed pretty remote and next to the main road.
The room was ground floor at the rear of the apartments, there was some traffic noise from the road to Afandou village which passes the veranda/balcony, mainly from clapped out mopeds and scooters.
The staff seemed friendly enough and the place was clean, with food at competitive rates.
If I had to grumble, it would be because of the lack of air conditioning in the rooms and the charges made to hire a room fan. We stayed the last 2 weeks in September and the temperature hit 115 so aircon is a necessity.
Car hire (fiat punto) with aircon was a good price from the village @ approx

We stayed at these apartments in September 2004 and I had read some good reviews about it but I was terribly disappointed.

The Georgia Apartments are a well-kept complex, the rooms are clean and the service is excellent, rooms are cleaned regularly and the bins in the bathroom emptied every other day. The facilities at the apartments are very good there is a restaurant/bar and a swimming pool, there is also a small games room with a pool table. Don

My wife sharon and i first went to geogia 12 years ago and have been going their every year since. We also try other countries but always end up back at Billys. The owners are constantly at work keeping the appartments and bar clean. They are always very helpful when ever there is a problem.
Although the appartments are next to the main road there is never any noise from traffic. The close proximinty of the road helps if you want a taxi or bus as in good old greek style you just flag one down. The village is a fantasic place to relax with quite bars and restrants. The local greeks in the village will always come up and have a chat.
