The Hotel was excellent. The room walls were a bit rough like artex gone wrong, but that is my only complaint. The rooms were mostly carpeted which absorbed any sound from neighbours, we hardly heard a thing and the hotel was very busy.
We had one of the rooms which overlooked the cliff, at first we considered asking for a room with a sea view but discovered that our room kept very cool without the sun blazing in.
The weather was scorching, absolutely gorgeous.
The rooms were cleaned every day, maids were very nice, appreciated us trying out some Greek on them!!
The food was excellent, slightly repetitive, but very tasty, the tiny pastries were excellent. Waiting staff were very nice could not do enough for you.
Hotel location was ok, shop were ok, nothing to write home about. We spent most of our days up at St Paul's bay in Lindos, the small cove there is excellent, and the shops at the Acropolis are really good, they have vines growing overhead which made walking about much cooler, more pleasant. We would recommend the Swedish cafe there, very good.
To be fair we only went up to the entertainment in the Hotel once, it was ok.
I would visit the Olympic Palace again but would be more likely choose something closer to Lindos just due to its lovely locality which Ixia lacks.

We visited in August last year (truly high season!!) This is one of the things you start having to do when your kids get to school age.
We arrived at 4.00pm in the afternoon and the conceirge (whos names escapes me but very polite) We had requested a sea view (late on) and been told nothing was guaranteed. Yet the chap gave us keys to a sea view and asked for us to go decide if it was suitable. Well it WAS! It looked directly out to turkey and all four of us could fit in very comfortably. Also there was a bowl of fruit and a nice bottle of wine (we had said my little girl had a birthday .. slightly inappropiate but I didn't mind)
The hotel was a very busy hotel. However, at no time did we have to queue to use the resturant. It was very efficient and the staff were lovely.. Within a day they had the kids names and spoke to them directly each time they came in (much to the kids delight)
The pool, or the three pools, are very busy. I am afraid it is towels at 7.00 am for loungers!! But if you are prepred to do that, you will get a nice space. Just don't expect to arrive at noon and find any space loungers!
Entertainment, well it was great for us. Probably not for everyone, but the children loved it. It gave them a chance to have fun too (please note if you are a couple.. this place in August is probably too children mad for you)
We loved it, we have booked to go next year. And have contacted the hotel directly to secure a good room.
OH and whatever you do try to book a sea view.. the Back view is not good.. directly onto a mountain.

We really enjoyed our stay here.
The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, they really work hard to please you.
The rooms were cleaned every day and even the maids were cheerful, the rooms are very spacious we paid extra for a sea view worth every penny you can see the Turkish coast and watch the sunset and the balconies are huge.
The hotel has lovely grounds and across the road from the beach.
One tip though when going into Rhodes town take a taxi which you can book from reception really cheap also the waterpark is a must fantastic day out also go by taxi as it's cheaper than going with the reps and the taxis are waiting outside to take you back again.
The food was hot and plentiful with good choices and the drinks were cheaper than outside bars all in all excellent holiday.

My Fiance and I travelled to this hotel in May this year with his parents and Brother we had a fantastic time.
The pool was lovely and clean and very spacious and there was no problem getting a sunbed, in fact we could take our pick.
My boyfrind proposed to me on the beach whilst on holiday, I said yes and the hotel staff we very excited for us and made this even more special.
The food was nice and there was plenty to choose from. The waitresses were very nice and polite.
Our rooms were always cleaned before we got back from breakfast and the size of the room was great, we had a sea view which was fantastic and the balcony was massive which gave you plenty of privacy if you wanted to sunbathe.

The Olympic Palace is set in a fantastic location in Ixia overlooking the beach close to local shops & tavernas.
I have been to Ixia before and had seen the Olympic Palace on a previous trip which is partly the reason I booked this for myself and my wife and her parents.
Overall the holiday was good however the cleanliness and general state of the rooms was very poor (not 4 star level as advertised). There was terrible smells of damp in the rooms and the corridors, we had to move rooms and to be honest the second room was not much better. The only saving grace about the room was the fantastic sea views.
During our stay the hotel was giving the accomodation area a lick of much needed paint in an attempt to mask the terrible smells.
The pool area was great, not crowded & very clean.
The food was good with a good selection and friendly waiters.
I would only return to Olympic Palace if I knew the rooms had been modernised and redecorated to an acceptable standard because as they stand they are not acceptable.

We have visited this hotel approximately 7 times and are due to return again this year.
The hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly. I am a particulary fussy eater but have never had any complaints about the food in the Olympic Palace, there is always so much choice and is very well presented.
The entertainment in the hotel needs improvement but it is only a short taxi ride into Rhodes Town where there is plenty to do.
