When we arrived my partner was presented with a rose by the reception team and I was given a travel clock which was a really nice touch.
We were then taken around the grounds of the hotel in a minibus and given a guided tour as to where everything was, again an excellent touch, as the hotel is well spread out so allowed us to get our bearings and find out quickly what the hotel had to offer.

The grounds were immaculate with fantastic pools all with sea views. The staff were really friendly and would do whatever you asked of them, and there was lots of waiters around night and day so did not have to wait for service for drinks or food.

The choice of food was fantastic with something different every day and all warm food was piping hot whatever time you decided to eat. They had a great choice of cocktails and beer was on tap for you to help yourself. The entertainment team were very friendly and very talented, with the safari bar being our favourite.

The location of the hotel is great; there is a bus top right outside with a bus both ways every half an hour. One way it was 20 mins to Falaraki and the other 10 mins to Rhodes town. The local transport was very comfy and easy to use.

We only had a basic room not wanting to pay to upgrade and we did find it a little small but then you get what you pay for! All in all a great hotel worth it's grading but would recommend an upgrade of some kind from a basic room.

We would absolutely go back there, even though we were a couple this hotel is great for kids as well as they are well catered for, without the couples being troubled by them.

Had fab week at this beautiful hotel/complex staying in the Horizon section, all inclusive.

We booked a superior room to ensure a sea view. Room was huge and spotless. Safe was included and fridge/mini bar which was replenished every 3rd day. The views were amazing and we overlooked the Mythos pool and out to sea.

The grounds were well maintained and gardens lovely. Pool areas were gorgeous with very comfy sunbeds and umbrellas and plentiful even though hotel quite busy.

The rooms are set out in blocks, a lot of them enjoy sea view, not all have sea and pool views.

We used the Athena restaurant area and enjoyed the food, especially the king prawns and mussels. The A la carte area is sectioned off the main restaurant and set very nicely and water served (you have to book this). There is also a BBQ area. At lunch time the pool bars served rolls, sandwiches, pizza, quiche and cakes.

You could help yourself to soft drinks, wine and water. Waiters also offered to get you drinks. Loads of cocktails on offer from bar!!

This restaurant wasn't totally enclosed, our first experience of this, and enjoyed spectacular views. Of an evening it could be very cool. Usually had to wait for a table but only few minutes. The staff all worked hard.

Entertainment in 2 different areas, one in Mare hotel. Trubute acts, singers, Greek dancing.

We walked to Kalithea Springs (about 15 mins) If you want nightlife Faliraki is about 6km away.

Pebbly/shingle beach area, water rocky, lots of people snorkelling - all very scenic.

Can't wait to return

On arrival after reception which was very friendly, we went immediately in a mini bus to our rooms, we then went to the restaurant which was just around the corner from our building, we were greeted by the restaurant manager who explained the dishes on offer and had a table especially laid for our party even though food had finished as it was after 11pm at night. On all our holidays we have never been made more welcome than at this hotel, we were on all inclusive and even at night everything was included, cocktails were brilliant and they have non alcoholic cocktails for children. We were very pleased with our room which had a sea view. The food was great plenty of choice and well cooked, the seafood prawns and mussels were good and you could have as much food as you wanted. The hotel has good sea views and the pool areas are clean and very well kept, sunbeds have cushions making them extremely comfy and there was never any problem getting them as they cannot be reserved with towels. The nightime entertainment was mainly tribute acts but it was all in english and they were good and with the cocktails and friendly staff we were happy. Apart from our day out to Rhodes town we did not spend a penny the whole week, a good hotel for relaxing. Only negative we had was as usual with hotels the bed mattresses were firmer than we are used to but we would still revisit this hotel.
