In a nutshell BRILLIANT. My wife and I visited in 2005 and really enjoyed the beautiful relaxed atmosphere. The staff were so friendly to us, the chambermaids/cleaners ALWAYS smiling whilst doing a very thorough job keeping our somewhat dated rooms immaculately clean and changing the bedding and towels every day.
Nick was ALWAYS around it seemed (except for about 2 hours each afternoon) CHRISTINE who is English was constantly behind the bar doing her utmost to be sure nobody had to wait for more than a few moments to be served and usually succeeding very well except on VERY busy periods, when all of a sudden, if she couldn't quite cope, help would arrive from out of nowhere. (what service)!!!
GEORGE was always very helpful too. No matter what you wanted to buy or obtain whilst out shopping, he is the man to ask. Being a small village he has Uncles, Aunts, Brothers, Sisters whatever, who all will give you a bargain sale as long as you mention the fact that GEORGE sent you hah!!!
To be serious he quite often would write you a "letter of introduction" to take along. I ask you The Greeks!!! They are something else when it comes to hospitality. At this place it seems their sole intention of ensuring that you have a good holiday and enjoy - enjoy - enjoy. Excellent food (esp. at breakfast, lunch and dinner).
Not as in some of the larger hotels a massive choice, they go for quality, and succeed admirably. all food piping hot and VERY tasty. The following year (2006) two other couples came along with us, purely on our say so.
We wrote to George at the Hotel a few weeks before our visit to inform him that he was going to be "invaded" and, could we possibly have three adjacent rooms.
As always, one wonders if the letter ever arrived, and even if it DID would he remember us, a year later?. Our doubts were soon put to rest however when we arrived. We were welcomed by Nick ( who had stayed on especially and GEORGE, shown to our rooms, together as requested, and whilst I being elected party leader, simply because of our previous visit, suggested we get down to dinner on time in order to get tables close together in the small restaurant, should have KNOWN better.
Nick ushered us to OUR table, reserved for the six of us during our whole stay. (How come you put us right next to the food Nick. Are you hinting something?)
Our party had the time of their lives, going different directions, one walks miles each day, another was touring the island on a motorcycle, another off fishing, another shopping constantly, yours truly just carefully making sure everything was a OK poolside and the sunbeds remained comfortable and the water temperature acceptable. VERY gallant of me I thought.
I DID however somehow become "Uncle John" to a certain little lady, involuntarily, but her persistence paid off. Hi MEGAN if you are now old enough to read. yes I am sure "MEGAN'S TREE is still there.
In all, our complete party of six enjoyed the wonderful food, relaxed atmosphere, superb weather, great staff etc. that we dearly want to return, but alas, Olympic Holidays have stopped booking the Kolymbia Sun and we cannot find out who is booking it. Too expensive to arrange independently.
So, if YOU find it, please take my word for it DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR and GO FOR IT, You will NOT be disappointed if you want a relaxed slow, easy going, restful holiday, no entertainment as such, make your own it's easy....(I marked entertainment as brill. 'cos that's what NO entertainment is right.

We were at the Kolymbia Sun Hotel for two weeks 3-18 September 05. We had room 203.
Hotel/ It had everything you could want for a nice holiday. The pool was clean and fairly warm. There were always sunbeds for everyone, if you wanted a particular spot then you put the towels down, but there wasn
