First impressions are that the hotel's hand-written sign above the hotel makes it look cheap, but it is two star budget accommodation so to be expected.
The hotel entrance was dirty with leaves on the floor. The room was clean when we arrived but was not cleaned to a good standard thereafter, under the bed had two inches of dust after the two weeks. The towels were changed four times during the two weeks we stayed there but the bedding was only changed twice. The beds were the usual wooden uncomfortable ones you get throughout Greece in this type of accommodation. The air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was nicely tiled but the shower was hand-held so difficult to use, at peak times the water pressure was poor on the hot-water. There was a TV in the hotel with the BBC world news channel.
The one thing that spoilt our holiday was the balcony which gave no privacy and we were next to smokers who sat there for the two weeks smoking so we did not use the balcony at all.
Food in the hotel was bread, butter, jam, honey, tea, coffee, cheese, ham, cake, peaches, Greek yogurt, water, orange juice. It wasn't great but if you want good food you have to stay 4/5 star and/or all-inclusive. We took the view that even just to have a coffee costs a few Euros so we were grateful of the breakfast.
The breakfast room is very small and intimate so great if you like socialising at breakfast.
The staff were friendly but I would expect this as a minimum. After all they are working in customer services.
The pool area: never struggled to get a sun-bed you do not need to put your towels on at 6.00-am like in the all-inclusive resorts. However you cannot sit on them because it is like being on a wooden palette, we just bought Lilos and put them on. The pool is not cleaned, our feet were dirty after walking on the area, the toilets are disgusting and this is where the courtesy showers are for those leaving later than their room check out time, they are the worst courtesy showers I have ever seen.
The location of the hotel is good, being at the foot of the walk to Ancient Thira and close to Perissa, the bus to the main terminal and all parts of the Island is only a three minute walk. We managed to see all the island highlights independently as advertised by the travel company for at least of half of what they were charging.
Definitely a trip to Oia and Thira is a must. The best place we found to eat was Cycldes good food, reasonable prices and good service, you need to be there early as it fills up quick especially the garden seats. Would I go to Santorini? Yes. Would I stay at this hotel? No, but the only reason is the shared balcony with no privacy the hotel represents good value for money and a good standard for two star.

We stayed at the Marianna for 2 weeks in July and had a fantastic time! We got one of the upper floor rooms overlooking the pool and had the most amazing view.
Despite going in peak season there was never any trouble getting a sun bed, and I didn't even find them as uncomfortable as I had seen on other reviews! The pool area was pretty quiet most of the time apart from 1 day where it seemed to get taken over by a large party of school kids. They did get asked to quieten down though.
The room was larger than others I have stayed in, basic but that's what you expect with a Greek self-catering apartment. It was spotlessly clean and the cleaners did a great job, even washing up anything that was left which was unexpected.
The air conditioning wasn't the best, but it was free so there were no complaints from me! It did the job though and cooled down the room enough to be comfortable.
My only complaint about the apartments would be that the pool bar is a bit basic if you don't drink alcohol, no juices, milk shakes or frappes. We never had any problems bringing our own drinks down to the poolside though.
They are in a good location, although the walk up the hill can be a bit of a killer in the heat! It's only 5 mins to the start of the beach road or the main road. The best supermarket we found was about a 15 - 20 min walk away but they will come and pick you up and drop you off again which is really handy.
I'd definitely stay here again if I went back to Perissa.

This was a lovely accomodation. Some of the rooms seemed small so I suppose we were lucky because we had an excellent room and were able to walk straight to the pool. It was very quiet, even in August and we loved the fact that it didn't matter what time of day you could always get a sunbed! They could be a bit hard though with no matresses but a lilo makes up for this. A nice touch when we arrived was that we were invited to the pool bar and given a small meze and a glass of wine, however the owner also uses this to promote his restaurant on the beach and Greek night held on a Friday night. We tried it but would say don't bother! The food was the worst we had while we were there! The hotel is up a slight incline which could be a bit of a pain in the heat or after too many ouzos but generally speaking didnt bother us that much. The best way is to turn left at the Lucia Villa and follow the road down to the bakery, that takes you to the centre and is a lot flatter. We stayed self catering and were glad because the guests staying B&B didnt rate breakfast much. There is a cool breeze most of the time which makes sunbathing a lot easier in the middle of summer! A very quiet hotel which we would definately return to.

I must admit getting of the plane then on the coach to the hotel was a little bit doubting woudering I hope its not this barron were we are.
But it was all ok! When we arrived everything about the hotel clean, pool clean, rooms clean very freindly only trouble was the breakfast bread, bread, bread, bread and on the last day hurray we got an hard boiled egg lol.
I wouldn't go B&B there again I'd go s/c over all a good 9-10 only the breakfast let this hotel down but you can get a good english breakfirst for 6 euro down the street.

We enjoyed this so much we want to live there, it is fabulous, not for kids very quiet, was quite windy a few days when we where there but it all adds to the excitement. Hotel and pool brilliant, would love to go again, but got a relly good deal last time. Try gods garden fabulous, and the wine is unbeatable.
Will be going again in the near future, fabulous views from hotel, and nice rooms, spotless.
