This hotel is in a great location, Kanapitsa is a quiet resort within walking distance of the main road that runs the length of Skiathos, so you can easily catch a bus to any of the other resorts on the island. You can also access Skiathos town via the water taxi which runs hourly and only costs 3euros per trip.
The hotel itself was clean and the staff were friendly and polite. Rooms are very basic but were cleaned daily and towels and bed linen were changed every other day. There is a good sized pool which wasn't particularly crowded as the beaches in Skiathos are so beautiful people tend to visit a different beach each day rather than laze around the pool. The pool bar/restaurant served good quality food and good sized portions( can only comment on the lunchtime food we had, there were far too many lovely restuarants in Skiathos town that we never managed to try an evening meal in the hotel restaurant). Breakfast is served on the 4th floor, and has a fair selection of food (cereal, yoghurts, fruit , small selection of warm food (eggs, small sausages, bacon, tomatoes etc) bread and cakes).
The only negative I have about this hotel is the amount of wasps swarming around. It has loads of foliage growing up the buildings that seems to attract the wasps. The first room we were put in, (room 228), as soon as you opened the door to the apartment the buzz from the number of wasps on the balcony hit you as you walked in. There was no way you could possibly have sat out on the balcony before 8-9pm without being stung. I was a little disappointed with the hotels handling of this issue, they said they sprayed the foliage the next day but this only seemed to make the wasps more angry and whatever they sprayed seemed to attract even more of them. Two days later they agreed to more us to a different room but the only room available was a small double room which we had to agree to as we were unable to relax in the original room (this was a triple room). Our new room was very cramped (its a good job we get on so well) but we were able to make full use of the balcony which was nice as we could sit out after a hard days sunbathing enjoying a glass or two of Mythos before getting ready for our evening trip into Skiathos town.

I noticed that there was no review of this hotel, so I have decided to put in my comments even though it was almost two years ago that we went.
The hotel is set in an isolated position at the end of a road about 1km off the main road. This is not detrimental to the hotel, as it is in a nice setting. There is only one other hotel in this area, so it is nice and quiet. The beach is 200m away, and is in my opinion, the nicest beach on Skiathos. A ferry boat leaves the beach hourly, which takes you to Skiathos Town (cost I think was Euro 2 one way). Much better than the crowed bus from the main road. It is very easy to find your way around the island, as one main road runs the length of the island through all of the main resorts.
The hotel is clean and tidy. However, if you want one with air-conditioning, you have to request it when you get there. There are safety deposit boxes in reception. You have to pay for these and the air-conditioning by the day.
Skiathos is a pretty island, and Skiathis Town is lively at night, with a good mix of bars and restaurants. There are also plenty of tavernas outside of the town, in all of the different resorts.
Breakfast at the hotel is on the top floor, looking out to sea. Breakfast is buffet style, but had a good choice. Can't comment on any other meals at the hotel, as there were too many tavernas to try.
If you book this hotel, you will have a good time. It has many repeat guests. We found the staff friendly and helpful.
