The Panorama is well presented and spotlessly clean. There is free air conditioning to all rooms and plenty of storage space for your clothes, something which is often lacking with other hotels. Rooms have a fridge and television. The rooms are very well furnished and have large comfortable beds with deep mattresses and huge pillows rather than the single thin pillows you often find in Greece! The rooms are very spacious and well decorated and have different settings for the room lighting rather than a single overhead lamp.
The bathrooms are well laid out and are equipped with one of the best showers i have seen in Greece.......and it is fixed to the wall too!
Entrance to your room is by a swipe card rather than by key.
Rooms are leaned every day and fresh towels are supplied daily too. Everywhere is spotlessly clean in this hotel. The staff obviously take great pride in their work.
The swimming pool and surrounding area is well maintained and the hotel will provide towels for use by the pool on request.
Breakfast is the traditional Greek buffet breakfast, i.e., bread (there is a toaster) jams, honey, cold meats, egg, cheese, fruit juice, yoghurt and fruits. There are also cereals and tea and coffee.
In the evening, the hotels restaurant serves excellent food at a reasonable price. There is a wide selection of meals available and the house wine is excellent.
The staff are very friendly and will help you with any queries or problems you may have.
The only minor niggle i had is that the reception was hardly ever manned. This in itself was no great problem as there was always a member of staff close by to assist me if i had a problem.
This was my second stay in Koukanaries and my first in the Panorama. I would definately stay here again!

The rooms were very basic but spotlessly clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was basic, ham, cheese, 2 cereals choices, one bread choice, a toaster which was out of action for 4 days, cake, jams and honey, tea or coffee. An egg selection was provided which was cold unless you got to it as it arrived. Omelet or fried egg, hard boiled eggs daily. The pool beds were plastic with no mattresses or towels. The pool was freezing cold (colder than the sea). A lot of the beds were broken and the pool steps were broken at one end. One of the waiters played a guitar occassionally but wasn't very good. The hotel is situated at the far end of the main road so the bus was always empty when it came.

The Panorama is a small Hotel located less than 5 minutes walk from lovely Koukounaries beach and very close to Banana beach. It's in a quiet location and although there are about 6-8 tavernas in Koukounaries, there isn't much going on in the way of nightlife - fine if you're looking for a very relaxing chilled out break in a countryside setting.
The bus to Skiathos town leaves every 30 mins - journey time is about 40 minutes and being in Koukounaries means you always get a seat- by the time the bus gets to Troulos it's jam packed.
The hotel is very clean and informal - nice small pool, but the beaches are so beautiful that you don't really need the pool. The hotel has a taverna attached with a very small bar within it which we didn't use. We tended to go next door to The Golden Beach Hotel for evening drinks as there was more atmosphere. Breakfast was limited and a bit repetitive, particularly if staying for 2 weeks.
All in all a nice quiet hotel in a relaxing setting - in hindsight we would have booked a studio or apartment with aircon for a lower cost and with facilities to do our own breakfast.
