Argassi 29100, Greece
Situated on a fairly steep hill with great views of Argassi, the bay and Zante Town, this is a friendly complex in an excellent location with a good range of facilities. Most of these facilities are shared and located at the neighbouring Captain's Hotel.

We have just come back from 2 weeks staying at the Captains and although it is at the top of a very steep hill it is very quiet and an excellent place to "get away from it all".

It was our second visit to Zante and was astounded that people remembered us from our holiday in October last year. Lovely people in Zante, apart from Peter!!

Would recommend this resort / hotel to anybody.

The hotel is on a steep hill, but I would still recommend it.

There were 3 families in our party (3 rooms), we were originally put on different floors, but the desk staff rearranged the rooms so that we were located next to each other.

The lofty position of the hotel, provides great views of the island.

There is a choice of two swimming pools, the Captains and the Commodore's pools are next to each other, and a short walk away you can use the Admiral's facilities.

We stayed in Argassi which we found to be very friendly.Be careful when you pass Peter restaurant on the main road as he will almost be certain to make you have a meal in there which is not very nice food at all.

The beach was terrible so we jumped on a bus to Tsilivi which had a beautiful beach. We then got a horse and cart from Zante Town back to Argassi which only cost 15 euros very cheap I thought.

We found a lovely taverna on the main strip called The Big Plate the food was cooked fresh and very nice along with lovely staff.

The water village was excellent and we spent 10 hours there for only 17 euros.

The hotel was cleaned and tidied everyday and the pool was small but nice never too packed at 1 time.

There was no entertainment at the commodore but had a singer on 1 night at the Admiral hotel which is part of the commodore 250 yards down the hill.

The Commodore is on a very steep hill so would not be any good to people with walking difficulties or elderly people.
The food we had from the snack bar was okay though.

All in all would go back to Argassi but not the Commodore Hotel.I would stay at the Diana Palace as our friends stayed there and it is gorgeous.

Came back from Zante after spending a week at the Commordore apartments on honeymoon.

The hotel was pleasantly clean, staff very friendly however no entertainment. Don't no if this was due to the beginning of the season, however staying at the commordoe we could use the facilities at the Captain and Admiral hotel the pool at the Captain hotel has amazing views over zante town and beach.

We also had a great night at the Admiral for a Greek night which was brilliant. Would definetly go back to Commordore again had a great week, basic cheap accomodation.

I and my partner stayed at this hotel for 1 week at the start of July.

The hotel itself is very basic but clean and friendly. The maids cleaned the room and changed towels every day apart from one.

The room again was quite basic and the balcony very small however it was only to sleep in.

Most of the staff and the rep were very friendly.

If I had to complain about anything about this hotel then it would be the lack of music at the pool.

The location of the hotel is ok however if you have walking difficulties or small children then it may not suite you as it is at the top of a hill.

Myself and my husband stayed in this hotel last July the hotel is on top of a steep hill.

We had a room on the bottom floor which was brillant and the pool was right across the road. There was always loads of sunbeds available which are under big palm trees.

There is hardly any thing to do at the hotel at night, however there are a lot of pubs and clubs nearby.

We have just return from a two week holiday at The Commodore. At first we had a room which overlooked the Admirals and it was extremely noisy day and night. We asked the receptionist and the rep if we could have another room. And after just two days they moved us to a room overlooking the pool which was brilliant. The whole complex is a good set up but it wasn't what we look for in a holiday. It was noisy and the entertainment was a bit poor. Mr & Mrs competition, lilo racing etc. The staff at the Commodore are all very friendly and the cleaners came into the room 6 days a week and did an excellent job.

Hi there, Me and my boyfriend G Man went to the commadore a few weeks ago and had a blast. The hotel was very simple. The pool was nice, but very small, and there is quite a rush for sunbeds in the morning.
The area is great for nightlife not so much for shopping in the daytime. The best bar is Tristanos bar and the best restaurant is Nostalgia. Beer academy is also a fun hangout. Stay away from Magic Mushroom as it is a rip off!!!!
The hotel offers a greek night and it is a joke!! The dancing is rubbish and anyone could do it and the food is really bad and not eat all you want.
The turtle cruise with Thomson is very good, but we only saw one turtle so dont expect to see loads.
All in all our holiday was very good, and we would return. But return earlier in the year when it is a bit cooler so that we would feel like leaving the pool side more.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in the commadore, its a lovely hotel last hotel on the hill so not to noisy.

Pool was small but big enough as it is never full of people. Staff were great espacially Cody as he made us smile by playing our favouite CD'S at night.

Recommend this hotel to anyone. Our room was lovely with air conditing, cleaned everyday.

My friend and I stayed at the Commodore Hotel, and things were going well until I accidentally left 2 rings on my bedside table and when we returned at the end of the day, the maid had been and the rings were gone. I wouldn't even normally take them off, so I was gutted. The receptionist, Cody, was really good, but the hotel manager was unfortunately very blase about the whole thing. After that, I was left with a very bad taste in my mouth about the place, especially when we had to see the maid every day when she came in to clean.

Apart from that, the location was fine, only a few minutes from the beach. We spent most of our time out in the bars and restaurants in the evening, so if there was any entertainment, we didn't take advantage of it.
