Location
The room we had seemed to be halfway between a hotel and apartment room, minimal furnishings but plenty big enough for the 3 of us.
the only real faults with the room are:
a) the bath/shower can be very awkward to use (shower curtain doesn't stay still and gets in the way of the bath) also, the drain in the floor of the bathroom is connected to the shower/bath so any soap suds come spilling out on the floor.
b) the rooms aren't cleaned very well, looks fine just don't check under the beds!!
I don't know where to start with the food.. tried the food twice and ate out for the rest of the week. food was luke warm, very little choice and very repetitive, had a few reports of food poisioning from other people who were staying there at the same time. If you do stay here, go self catering!
The location is perfect, when you leave the hotel there is a continuous supply of shops and bars open until late into the night, and even though we were staying in a room facing directly onto town, we heard very little from them all.
The beaches aren't the best in this area, rather small and rocky but as with the rest of the island the sea is beautiful and clear.
We never bothered with the entertainment in the hotel, mainly due to us eating out every night, we'd just stay where we were, but the entertainment in the hotel didn't make much of an impact on us.

Lounge small and the sofas ripped and dirty and grimey was very shocked at the lounge.
Pool area nice but sunbeds too close together,
garden sunbeds just plonked on not green grass disappointing. Pool bar good.
Room clean but basic..shower/bath a joke
the saving grace is the staff they are wonderful.
Food mediocre and lukewarm except for the Italian night show cooking.
Was disappointed in whole thing for a 4* hotel but had a relaxing time in spite of it all.

Rooms were as expected for the money and location was only a few minutes from the main street.
To be honest, I spent more time next door at Doras apartments as my wife knows the family well.
All in all, for this type of budget holiday, the accomodation is as you would expect - clean and pretty basic. Saying that, it was friendly enough and very clean.

Yes, the rooms are basis, but we are in Greece. There are clean and fresh towels and linen provided 6 days a week - what more you expect?
Hotel is located in the heart of all the tavernas and restaurants etc and 5 mins to the beach which has excellent water sports.
The entertainment is not good,(bingo, quizzes etc) with the exception of the weekly Greek night on a Saturday, which everyone seemed to enjoy.
The resort was ideal with a good selection of places to eat. Some people we met were in block 5 of the hotel and the rooms weren't to clever - needed a little updating etc.
Excellent weather (40c+) and some lovely scenery plus very friendly people.
Will be returning to the Diana Palace next year for certain. Don't be put off by some of the negative remarks made by other people, make your own mind up and remember - its Greece and not the UK. Enjoy it !

All in all they did not care what happened to us and the children.
We paid for a 7 night stay and was kicked out after 6 nights.
Also very expensive.
The place has gone down hill rapidly in 2 years.
holiday from hell....

I am sure in the height of the season it would be buzzing , no beach as such in Argassi . Bus at the end of road ( free so long as you pay for a bed on the beach 4 Euro's ) takes you to St Nicholas's beach 15 minute drive - really nice .
Weather good as well .

Although i stayed at the hotel self catering i often ate in the pool bar and was very impressed with the service and food.
The location of this hotel is great as soon as you walk out of the door you have everything at hand you could possibly want. you can also rest assured that once your back in your room and just want to go to sleep you can do so as all music has to be taken inside the bars by law at 12pm.
The hotel staff are very helpful and polite and if you need anything all you have to do is ask. i broke my foot in Zante one year(not in the hotel) and was staying at this hotel and they couldn't do enough to help me.
The enterainment can be hit and miss you can have a great laugh one night and be bored stiff the next, but all you need is right outside your hotels doors sothis should not me a problem.
I have already stayed at this hotel 3 times and am planning to go back next year too.

Room was cleaned very day.
Did not eat at the hotel apart from breakfast, but provided good rang of snacks at the poolside throughout the day.
The location was brilliant, right in the middle of the resort, surrounded in shops, restaurants, bars and about 100m from beach. Despite being I the middle of the resort it was not noisy at night.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
Entertainment in the hotel was mainly film nights and quizzes.

The Diana Palace is right in the centre with good restaurants and bars nearby. There is also a good supermarket 100m away. We were surprised though that at the very beginning of Sept, the resort seemed a bit dead.
Back to the hotel...the reception is the nicest part of the hotel and then it goes a bit downhill. Our apartment was underground! We were a bit annoyed at first but it was nice and cool. We actually had to look up to see the ground from the balcony!! (It was a running joke the whole time we were there.)
The staff were friendly and helped us whenever we asked.
We hired a wee Jeep and visited other beaches on the island. Argassi beach is none existent really.
All in all accommodation is fine but don't expect luxury. Good size though with everything you need.
Pool is small but we only really went there to cool down after being out all day.
Good base for exploring. Wouldn't want to have been here for 2 weeks. Also beware of the cruise around the island- it is quite long and the boat we were on needed a little TLC. The Greek rap music was rather interesting though!!

Breakfast was the worst I have ever had anywhere in the world. Old boiled eggs beans and bread every single morning orange juice so watered down in was like water, after 3 days we paid to have breakfast elsewhere, thats if you could find anywhere else the resort was closing around us by the minute.
Hotel bar ran out of drinks nightly until there was only two choices (I am serious). Shops had hardly anything on their shelves and the little man from tiffanys across the road was so annoying although on the last two nights we were grateful that he had stayed open.
Hotel staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Would not reccommend anyone to go there even if its free.
