Location
Very good facilities; pool area had 3 separate pools with plenty of loungers and lots of inflatables for everyone's use.
Aircraft noise not really an issue; there's only 1 or 2 planes an hour landing or taking off, so don't let it put you off.
Tons of bars/restaurants within a 5 min walk.
2 BAD POINTS:
1. We were put in A block which is totally unsuitable for a young family (we had an 11 month old baby), due to late night music/noise from the bar. Kosmar rep was useless at sorting out the problem.
2. The BBQ had average food and really rubbish wine, plus the whole family had a stomach upset for days afterwards. Avoid BBQ night like the plague!! There's much better food to be had in Kalamaki's many restaurants.

Cannot rate the hotel highly enough, had a fantastic holiday! Hotel very clean with 5 pools. Two quiet chill out pools, 1 lively pool, 1 kids pool and 1 games pool, also a jacuzzi for adults only.
Hotel has happy hour every day from 4 - 6 where you get bogof on all drinks and they have a great cocktail list!
There is loads of sunbeds so no need to get up early to reserve your bed, and loads of parasols too.
There is 2 bars, one at quiet pool and one at the lively pool, personally we preferred the quiet pool and used the happy hour most nights.
Recommend the sex on the beach cocktail and the harvey wallbanger!
The resort itself has something for everyone and hotel is just around the corner from the main strip.
Turn right at dias hotel and youre on the main street where you will find so many great restaurants that you couldnt possibly get through them all and theres also a good range of bars.
Personal favourite being the 'venue' where there is an entertainer on every night called shay who is just so hilarious! My 17 yr old son thought he was great(bighorn). This was shays nickname for my son!
Real name Kinghorn.
Restaurants (personal favourites)
Michaelos (authentic greek restaurant)
Olive tree
Hera
Parthenon
Jumana indian (smaller than the other indian/chinese
rests but excellent food and service)
Did not like kalamaki beach much so walked into laganas most days along the beach which takes about 30 mins and really loved this beach, cleaner than kalamaki and found a lovely beach front restaurant called the horizon where we hired our sunbeds for 5 euro for 2 for the day and had our lunch and drinks there all day and were looked after by yiannis.
We would then get a taxi back to hotel about 4 o,clock for happy hour and spend last couple of hours chilling at quiet pool with a couple of cocktails!
Taxi back from laganas 7 euro.
Laganas is lovely during the day but would not recommend at night as kalamaki is a much nicer resort with great restaurants!
Seen quite a few turtles whilst swimming in sea at laganas in water about chest deep and then done turtle island trip from laganas beach and seen loads more turtles. Turtle island trip highly recommended from laganas. 15 europp. Guaranteed to see turtles, then onto blue caves at the back of island and then spend an hour on turtle island beach which is pure paradise, looks like the caribbean! total trip about 2 1/2 hours. Well worth it!
Also well worth visiting is cameo island.
Walk to the end of laganas beach and then over a small indiana jones style bridge onto cameo island which costs 2.50 euro pp and you get a free drink from one of 2 bars that are on the island. Beautiful island with great views and water like the caribbean with large sails blowing overhead and speakers around the island playing ibiza chilled out music. Pure heaven!
Very chilling little place.
All in all a great holiday that has something to offer everyone and will return 1 day soon!

The free pizza night and the barbecue/Greek night is fantastic. The rooms are spotless and the staff very friendly.
Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone with children.
There is a new childrens play area and paddling pool. The food from the bar is delicious and fresh. Plus happy hour 4-6 every day.

Room very clean but cooking facilities basic - but we ate out anyway. We had a 1 bed apartment - there were 2 other beds (one pulled out from under the other, but with no privacy or storage - not suitable for adults.
Not hot enough to need air con - but very expensive if you do - you will need it in July or August, especially if you close the windows to cut out the noise. Mozzie nets at the french doors - but they still get in!
Downside was the noise from the bar, which echoed around the pool until after 1 a.m. If you have children or want a good night's sleep, avoid blocks A and B and the nearest part of D. Other blocks are round a quieter pool and are fine. We were moved after complaining about the late night noise, but only in our second week. Would only go again if could be guaranteed a quiter room.
A handy mini-market in the hotel, with good fresh bread - but some things are not priced, and can turn out expensive.

Staff were really helpful, the manageress would go out of her way to help and Mimika in the pool bar was lovely, excellent snacks served.
Initially given a studio which is ample for a couple but not for family, moved on day 2 to a two bedroom duplex apartment, very spacious cleaned daily, towel change not so frequent.
Downside is location to beach, fine if you don't have pushchair, bucket/spade etc, etc that you have to carry around with a 4 year old, hence didn't visit the gorgeous beach as often as would have liked.
Would definitely recommend.

We were personally shown to our room by a member of staff. The room was very clean and tidy, with a terrace overlooking the small pool. Room were kept very clean by the maid service.
After briefly unpacking, we headed for the main pool. The main pool was large enough, warm and very clean, as is the smaller but quieter pool. Sunloungers are a plenty in both pool areas.
The BBQ and PIZZA evenings are highly recommended, great value, excellent food and service.
The two Bars/Snack bars were well stocked. Mythos at 2 euros a bottle, 2 for 1 at Happy Hour, as is all alcoholic drinks.

We stayed in block D in a maisonette. The carretta is perfect for families and couples. 2 spacious Bedrooms and a small separate alcove with one single bed which would convert to 2 beds. wardrobes, bedside cabinets and chairs all in brand new condition and the mattresses were spotlessly clean.
Maid service daily to empty bins and sweep through, linen and Towels were every 3 days and 2 if we had been to beach, slip mat provided for bathroom floor, modern bathroom.
Kitchenette could do with a bit more bench space as it was hard to do brekkies/snacks for 5, but the cooking rings had excellent power the fridge with small freezer was immaculate as were the units and pans! also a kettle and toaster were supplied,
Two huge balconies both with table wrought iron table and chairs and plenty of good lighting, I cannot speak highly enough of this accommodation and highly recommend it!
Pools :- the main pool area had a large pool with shallow end, a separate splash pool for adults only and a kidney shaped mini pool for toddlers and babies which was excellent! Then there was the quiet pool which also had a very shallow end and tended to be more used by couples and older quiet children, Both pools had umpteen loungers and brollies, like I have never seen before and both had bars which also did snacks!
The grounds are kept immaculate and have flowers, palms and olive trees, through a small gate next to the large pool, there is a five aside grassed football pitch with goals and also a volley ball/badminton net. loads of balls, bats and balls, lilos, buckets, floaters for the kids.
Hotel serves tasty snacks- we didn't have a bad meal and there is a supermarket on sight, which was a bit more expensive than the local ones but was great if you had run out and needed something in a hurry, fresh bread delivered daily and daily papers every lunchtime.
TV's all over showing films on certain days for kids and footy for sports fans, all areas really clean.
Staff, were exceptionally friendly and would go out of their way to help you.
We went to 2 quiz/pizza nights and they were excellent, free pizza for all, you just paid for any chips or salad which was reasonably priced anyway, great prizes on the quiz nights and also raffles and guess the name of the turtle.
A special thanks to Seria the manageress and also to Tony the Airtours rep who was excellent and always seen to be playing with kids, talking to holiday makers and having fun with everyone, for once a real credit to Airtours!
If your going to Kalamaki, I really recommend here, you wont be disappointed!!
The only downside- a good 15/20 mins walk to the beach, ok for adults but a major operation with kids (unless you have a buggy) esp when its hot, and you have all the towels, lilos, cool bags, buckets etc.
Also there is a very good take away van as you reach the beach which also serves superb sandwiches/fries and slushes!
