This was my first holiday in 5 years and my boyfriend's first holiday in 11 years and we couldn't have chosen a better resort or hotel. We wanted a relaxing holiday and that's exactly what we got.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The pool area was lovely but my only complaint was that neither the pool or jacuzzi were heated, although the temperature was perfect for my boyfriend.

The cleanliness of the apartment complex as a whole couldn't be faulted and you would see cleaners working throughout the day.

The facilities of the apartment itself were very good, with a fridge, freezer, kettle and cooker as well as lots of cupboard storage. There was a safety deposit box in the wardrobe but we didn't use it. The air con was excellent and there was also a black out curtain so that we weren't woken by the sun first thing in the morning.

The hairdryer provided in the bathroom was surprisingly good. I've been caught out by bad hotel hairdryers in the past so took my own with me, but I really had no need for it.

The only down side was location-wise - halfway up a steep hill. It was OK at night, but during the hot midday sun it was a bit of a chore. You get used to it after a couple of days, but if anybody in your party has problems walking then you're going to struggle. Having said that, the taxis are very cheap and they always seem to be available.

We loved staying at this hotel and would definitely go back.

We stayed at The Ariadne for 2 weeks from 16th May 2005.

The Ariadne far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very clean and spacious. There was a television in each room, air conditioning if required, and the kitchen/dining area was well equipped (cooking rings, microwave and fridge freezer).

There were plenty of sockets for adaptors and bug machines etc, and a hairdryer in the spacious bathroom. All rooms had chairs and a coffee table inside, as well as delightful balcony seating.

The bins were emptied everyday, clean bedding, towels and shower mat as needed, not just on set days.
The pool area and gardens were well kept, and the staff friendly and helpful.

As the board basis was self catering, we ate out or prepared in the apartment, but there was a good choice of snacks, drinks and ices at the pool bar.

The Ariadne is reached by a 5 minute walk up a steep hill. This would be unsuitable for anyone with disabilities, although a taxis are frequent and cheap in the resort, and hire cars can be delivered and collected from the door if required.
There is a lift within the building, and dedicated disabled toilets and access to all areas.

The views from the balcony, and the outstanding accommodation far outweigh the walk up the hill.

We stayed at the Ariadne from 13th May 05 for 2 weeks with our ten month baby girl. The staff at the Ariadne were very friendly and welcoming.

The apartment was spacious, cleaned every day - bins emptied, beds made new towels as required etc. Maids don't try and get in at the crack of dawn, and clean at a reasonable late morning to lunchtime, so no need to get up early!

The bathroom contained a small bath (ideal for bathing our baby) with a hand held powerful shower and even a hairdryer. The kitchen had a microwave, fridge freezer and two ring cooker. The aircon was available at extra charge but we didn't need it. The doors have really useful fly screens, so you can leave them open. A travel cot was provided to us for the baby who was made a fuss of constantly by the staff!

The pool has a childrens small round pool, and a jacuzzi operated from the bar which took a while to work out! Snacks and drinks at the bar were very good and drinks were cheaper than in the town. All of the apartments have a fantastic view of the sea, and it is well worth the walk up the hill.

At night the walk is quite entertaining as you can spot the large bats flying round the lamposts! Avoid walking up in the heat of the day though - especially with a buggy!

Apartments were fantastic, cleaned everyday.

We were warned that there would be no kettle toaster, shower curtain and only one toilet roll for 2 weeks but this was not the case at the Ariadne.

The pool is lovely.

The staff were great and there was many a drunken night spent at the pool bar.

Best place we've ever been to.

Ariadne Aparthotel is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff were exceptional. Pool was excellent which included a jacuzzi. Pool bar was brilliant and food was excellent and very cheap. Rooms were cleaned every day and were spotless. I would definitely visit this hotel again.
