On our arrival at phoenix Beach, 1st impressions was this looks nice. Check in was one of the fastest I have witnessed although we were the only ones checking in. We got to our room and it was pretty basic to say the brochure rates it as a 4 star.(no way it is 4*),and 10 euro a day for air conditioning is daylight robbery as it is needed, also you have to pay a local rate for the fridge.
All the staff were very friendly especially the lovely waitress at the bar, she just worked tireless and still kept on smiling.
We were B+B and the breakfast at Phoenix beach was pretty substandard, there was no bacon, fried eggs, or proper English sausage, but they had these on their paying menu, apart from this the food at the bar was excellent and competitive price wise.
Location was very good, and again sunbeds were free to guests and we had no real problem getting 3 when needed, but may be different at busier times. Another downfall is that you have to pay phoenix Beach 6 euro for 2 sunbeds and a parasol for the grass and beach, but this is down to the Greek government charging them excessive rent rates.
All in all we would return but just without the breakfast option.
